****The Official Note III Thread****

I do believe DC-HSDPA is capable of up to around 42Mbps so 28 can be expected a lot of the time I guess in excellent conditions. 3 do have a throttling system in place to balance out congestion so it will vary but in ideal conditions you could expect to get 20Mbps+ easily.

Wiki said:
An advanced HSDPA+ network can theoretically support up to 28 Mbit/s and 42 Mbit/s with a single 5 MHz carrier. Doubling the bandwidth to 10MHz results in theoretically, double the sustained data rate

Of course it doesn't change the upload speed, just download. 4G upload is insane.

Didn't get nothing mate. It was a bit of a haggle and the store manager had to approve it in the end if that helps.

Ah okay.

I wonder if I could ask to be put through to a manager on the phone. I am reluctant to travel to my nearest 3 store (which isn't that close) just to find out they won't waive the fee!

Is the any setting needed to get DC-HSPA speeds, I've tried at various times of day and locations and the max im getting is 9mbps down 2.5 up

Hugely impressed with the note III though. With my GS2 I was lucky to get 2 hours screen on before it was pretty much dead. Yesterday with the Note I had 4.5hours screen on time, around and half hour of youtube watching the rest browsing, whatsapp etc, when to bed at 25% battery and woke up with 20%. That was 18.5 hours on battery in total.

DC is automatic, of your network supports it then you'll be using it without having to do anything.

If I could get this at home I'd ditch my Broadband :D

Wish i'd seen the Note three on egay for £485 before taking out my contact.

I have only had it a few days, what is the deal with returning a phone to three that's a few days old?

You can just app info > disable. There's not much bloatware on the N3, a lot of stuff is to do with the s-pen apps which are quite useful. Main ones I have disabled are Yahoo and Samsung hubs really and that's it.

The camera lens is closer to the front glass than on Note 2, with the wide angle lens attached you can't see the lens surrounding whereas you could on the NOte 2:

The Macro lens is also quite handy:
