Interesting, 1080 is more than twice the performance of the 970 in the frostbite engine at 1440p.

Also smashes a 980Ti at 4K..

In terms of power and not having the pain with sli its a winner for you ..and you should not have to spend that much extra really once you sell the 2 980's
