NVIDIA can kiss my A$$, why would I want to pay £188 for Megatrons shinpad??? When are the normal cards released.

the Founders Edition price rise is what it is: an early adopter tax. If you want a 1080 on launch day (or very likely the upcoming 1070 too), Nvidia is milking its brand power and charging a cool £619/$699 for privilege, with cheaper cards from partners like Asus and EVGA arriving with custom coolers and designs at a later date.

I currently have a 960. Jesus the increase I'd get is unbelievable. But for £600? No thank you. Its daylight robbery the American to UK price. It definitely doesn't cost over £150 per box to bring to the UK. Sorry but its utter ******** that price increase.

Some good gains here, and the price is to be expected. Probably wont be enough stock available anyway. so may as just wait for the custom cards to come out.

They only managed a 200mHz improvement though, as the software failed them repeatedly (not the card itself), so we still need more info on overclocking performance.

so pcper's sample got to 2025 but a staggering 85 degrees.. wtf.. thats ffing fare off the nvidia's events 2100ish @67 degrees.. waaay off temp wise

Overclocking is not great so far and problematic.

There was really never any chance of Nvidia's temperature number being real. They probably had 20 desk fans surrounding the system backstage with the card fan on 100%. The mid-80s is what Nvidia stock coolers normally aim for, then start throttling back. No doubt a more aggressive fan profile set manually will get it running cooler (at the expensive of noise of course).
