Na that's a beast. The EVGA's looks dated and cheap. Never thought I would say that about an EVGA card. Maybe different pics tomorrow will make them look a lil better, but from those pics they look rubbish to me.

The ASUS looks big powerful and well cooled. Will very likely pick one up tomorrow if any left.

I agree, what have EVGA DONE

I would much rather have seen a nice sleek black design.

Really not liking the shiny silver, black and mesh. Deffo waterblocking them ASAP.

To be honest I've never been a fan of EVGA cards, I've always preferred the aesthetics of MSI and their quiet fans.

This time I'll probably be going for EVGA (presuming their 1070 cards are the same too) just based on their step-up (might decide to upgrade from a 1070 to a 1080 or something) and good RMA policy.

Can't say I ever really looked at the design of my last graphics card other than the backplate. Oh wait.. Maybe when I put it in and took it out of my case :p

EVGA ACX 3.0 is a interesting and strange design.

Cant wait to look review to find out what the strange things under ACX 3.0 cooler that probably will give Founders Edition cooler a run of money.

Will wait to see what MSI Frozr VI cooler look like, hopefully it will put ACX 3.0 to shame.

Does anybody have any idea the eta of the non founders cards? I sold my 980. And I'm 'evaluating' a 980 TI for 30 days from a certain conpetitor. Need to return that by 18th June.
So it's make or break for then as I'll have no card lol.

Maybe a broken one does?

Mine overclocked to 1480 doesn't go over 74 degrees with a fan profile aimed at ultra low noise, I've set it not to go over 50% because after that it gets really loud really quick.

Many different reviews had different experiences with the card, until i redone the thermal paste on mine it was routinely hitting 82c with the out of the box boost (1367mhz), overclocking any amount would drive this upto 87c. Now i can get about 1450mhz at around 80c.

There was rumours going around that asus initially withdrew the card from sale due to issues with the gaps on the heatpipes, possible i got an earlier one and you got a later one?

I tell you what by the looks of those benchmark stats its definitely not worth getting a 1080 over a 980ti !

Yeah I was just thinking that. It's barely any faster at all, if those slides are accurate.

Which would be fine if it was priced like the 980. But it isn't. It's priced higher than the 980ti.
