** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

I really dislike those AIO GPU's. I know temps are good, but AIO coolers are known to leak and lets face it they look ugly.

To be honest, this time around EVGA's AIO card looks lovely. Rest of thier 1xxx lineup got hit with the ugly stick though (personally). Shame their ACX 2.0 were really lovely I thought.

All prices drop. I except the FE 1080 price will fall. The custom 1080's should hold ok
1080 is almost surely going to see an official price cut when big Pascal/Vega come out. They need to create space in the range and I'm sure AMD are going to offer something potentially a lot more competitive in the same price bracket.

Hmmmmmmm, maybe Volta only then and Pascal is a mere stopgap??

There is just no need for Hbm2 yet. Using GDDR5X at the 14Gbs per second compared to the current 10Gbs chips used in the 1080, combined with a 384bit bus will give twice the bandwidth of the 1080. The ti certainly doesn't need twice the bandwidth.

HBM2 would lower power draw a little but comes at a significant price, interposer complexity, availability issues.the FuryX is a good warning about jumping on the HBM wagon too soon.

I find it weird theirs no Custom 1080 card reviews? When 900 series hit day one they had reviews coming out of everywhere. Even 8 Pack and Gibbo had reviews. Reviews where everywhere, Nothing this time?

No factory 2.4ghz overclocks then, or probably anywhere close. Not looking that good really.

I've known them do 2.1ghz on 980Ti's before. Almost twice ref core clock.

I always said the overclock ceiling would be around 2.2ghz which to be honest isn't bad from the stock 1.6ghz

This is the reason why I was not fussed about the extra power connector I knew I could get 2.1ghz easily which is enough for me under water and the single 8pin is so much more convenient for cable routing

i like this idea, great idea specially for side fans

on a side note you can run nvidia gsync suuround on asus strix? only 2 DP connectors.

The Strix clocks @ stock @2000MHz+.
You can read in this Thread what he tried with his extreme oc friends, but like i said they didnt managed to surpass 2.4GHz, here in this video you can see him with the strix from Asus http://extreme.pcgameshardware.de/n...locking-szene-eher-negativ-3.html#post8241011

Ohh that is cool. Very cool of him to do that review

Also that guy is the mortal enemy of 8Pack :p (I know they are friends in RL and partnered together in some events)

So yeah, pretty much on par or a little faster than a 980Ti (although there is a weird anomaly with The Division were the 980Ti is quite a bit faster, not sure why that game favours the Ti)

Not bad. I don't see much point in getting a 980Ti once this releases as they're going for an average of £360 second hand, which is how much non-FE 1070s will be. Unless of course you want to SLI your 980Ti, in which case this is also good news as it should push the price down.
