Thought I would show my team, I found out that players on the bench earn no points unless the players actually playing don't play so I thought I would take a risk and put the cheapest players I could on the bench and hope the rest of them play.

I just realised, it's hard to believe I was a Liverpool fan all the time I was into football. Still follow them but don't watch every match :/ Shows how much confidence I have I suppose :p

I picked him because the price was ok, he was decent enough at QPR so there is no reason for me to think he will be worse if he goes to a better team and on top of all that, theres still masses and masses of time to swap him out for no penalty if I change my mind :)
 
Even if you ignore the price of the players this year, I'm finding it so much harder to pick a side.

In previous years you always had a few bankers in each position that you knew would play regularly and score big points; the likes of Fabregas, Gerrard and Lampard in midfield and Torres, Drogba, Rooney and Tevez up front. Of those 7 players, Rooney's probably the safe bet to play week in week out and score the sort of points he has in previous seasons. If you look at all the £9m+ forwards, Suarez, Bent and Rooney are the only 3 that I'd even consider buying; the others are either crocks (RVP), likely to leave (Tevez) or it's too unclear as to whether they'll play regularly to justify paying so much for them.
 
^^ Last season it was the stars for the smaller clubs who I counted on. The only reason Drogba/Rooney etc are ahead of them in the overall points is they have 1/2 games where they score 3+ goals, but its the lower end strikers who're more consistent and are likely to score a goal per game.

The people on the bench get nothing, but replace players in your team that don't play. Therefore, if you have Rooney in your starting lineup and Gyan on the bench. If Rooney doesn't play, Gyan will replace him. The benched players are numbered 1, 2 and 3. This is their priority when it comes to subbing them on.

Captains get double points. Vice Captains become Captain if your Captain doesn't play.



My team is called 'The **** (Oooh, that word is censored? I'll refer to them as breasts then)' by the way. I won't post my team yet.

First draft done, no doubt it will look totally different by the start of the season. Suprised at the amount of teams already entered into the OCuk league
