*****The OFFICIAL OCUK 2013/2014 Fantasy Football League*****

what happens if you have 2 wildcards left? does it give you a choice of what you want to use, or will it automatically use the Jan one first?

I had the wrong table up, but still Ozil PPM is poor, he isn't even in the top 40 for that.

This is the whole season table...

As far as premium mids go, my choices would be Hazard, Silva, Yaya, Oscar, Ramsey (would have been Walcott though), Cabaye (although a cheapy mid in comparison). It's all about the PPM/PPMPG. It's great that he has Xpts, but if you can get two mids at a combined price less his who then score more combined, you're in profit. All the top FF managers on that FPL go for value and get those players in who are coming in form, offer good PPM and will most definitely increase in price.

Saying all this, Ozil will probably turn round and have a blinding 2nd half of the season and be the best value player ever :p

^Ah I getcha :)

Still, if you look at the PPMPG chart, filtered to just show midfielders, the only what I would call genuine 'premium' player (i.e. price above £7.2m) ahead of him is Silva. Hazard, Yaya, Oscar, Cazorla, Gerrard, Mata, Cout, Walcott, Michu etc etc are all below him based on PPMPG :)

I don't disagree that you need some cheapies in the squad to free up funds for the rest of the team, but the fact is if you filled a team purely based on value in that way you'd be massively under budget and would actually be better off getting more big-hitters in (even more so when you consider you have to captain one player). Ozil is ranked 3rd on PPG, only freak Rambo and Hazard can top that from midfield.

I think you also have to set a threshold in terms of how many games players actually play, I mean based on that stat Gnabry is literally the best midfielder in the game, 0.95PPMG. But he's scored a grand total of 20pts all season because he hasn't played that much; if you had 5 Gnabrys you'd be screwed :)

As I say, I've never had Ozil in my team, but I wouldn't be disappointed (nor astounded) by his returns. 6.33PPG is at worst par for the course from a £10m player in my eyes.

How annoying, Yaya was subbed on 59:xxmins but was so slow to leave the field it ticked over to 60mins meaning he got an extra 2pts.

This worries me because my cup opponent is 3pts ahead of me and the only difference is I still have Koscielny to play. I can see him getting 2pts tomorrow and me losing by 1pt i.e. screwed over by the timekeeping.

Is Rooney definitely back this weekend?

No return date according to Physioroom. Where have you heard this? However, I dropped Rooney without any intention of bringing him back. He is essentially an attacking mid, which is too expensive when you could buy other strikers who are more likely to score. This is compounded by RVP imminent return.

Wildcard played, don't really care anyway as I am way out of it this season, worst season ever by far !!

Suarez, Aguero, Giroud up front. Hazard, Navas, Huddlestone, Amalfitano in midfield. Jagielka, Coleman, Zabaleta in defence. Mignolet in goal.

Probably get 10 points this week lol

Interesting, he was down as facing a late fitness test earlier but they've removed it.

Relieved that Aguero came on and scored as he is my captain!..also made a decent shout on Cabaye this week. ...was very close to taking Gerrard out for Cazorla though.

Also this week, I went with a keeper/cb from the same team, which can be a gamble, but Kos and Chezny pulled through!...my mate that I am in direct competition with had Zabaleta and kolorov!

Time to play my wild card today, seeing as I've been destroyed by injuries! Trying to decide between Rooney or Mata now..
