^Ah I getcha
Still, if you look at the PPMPG chart, filtered to just show midfielders, the only what I would call genuine 'premium' player (i.e. price above £7.2m) ahead of him is Silva. Hazard, Yaya, Oscar, Cazorla, Gerrard, Mata, Cout, Walcott, Michu etc etc are all below him based on PPMPG
I don't disagree that you need some cheapies in the squad to free up funds for the rest of the team, but the fact is if you filled a team purely based on value in that way you'd be massively under budget and would actually be better off getting more big-hitters in (even more so when you consider you have to captain one player). Ozil is ranked 3rd on PPG, only freak Rambo and Hazard can top that from midfield.
I think you also have to set a threshold in terms of how many games players actually play, I mean based on that stat Gnabry is literally the best midfielder in the game, 0.95PPMG. But he's scored a grand total of 20pts all season because he hasn't played that much; if you had 5 Gnabrys you'd be screwed
As I say, I've never had Ozil in my team, but I wouldn't be disappointed (nor astounded) by his returns. 6.33PPG is at worst par for the course from a £10m player in my eyes.
