Same as last competition the first week will be a learning round for all shall we say as I'm sure you won't be the only one.

If anyone hasn't read the rules they are on page 1 of this thread...

That's a relief because mine doesn't have the full name on the paper, just my forum name with OcUK and dated.

Can I clear a rule up please as well? I've got two ales from two different countries beginning with A, but one is a "pale Ale" the other a "sparkling Ale".

Does the 'pale' bit or the 'sparkling' bit effect the entries validity?

As long as it has the full word "Ale" on the label :), mustn't be abreviated


Hi matey sorry for late reply but not long home from work...

The beer in question MUST show on can or bottle the word - ALE and be from any country beginning with the letter A.

IPA even though standing for India Pale Ale would only count if spelt out fully, ie. not as IPA
