How are the peeps getting over 4300 on 2700x doing it, is it the extra PE level stuff on Asus that gives you a boost. I dont have that option on my X470 Taichi.

In my case, PE is set to level 4. That's how i have had it set from a couple of weeks after the launch of the 2700x. CPU voltage on auto with all core boost going to 4.25Ghz, on a hot day or when the house is very warm it will all core boot to 4.23Ghz. Under stress testing using all cores (Real Bench for instance), Vcore sits around 1.38v/1.4v.
No PBO on my board (X370), so it's manual all core OC at 4.2GHz.
Ta , tried that earlier and got another 40 odd points but needed a good boost in voltage. Got quite hot !
Yeah, going past 4.1 needs a big jump in volts. I can do 4.1 all core at 1.275V solid, but to get 4.2 stable needs ~1.35V. I tend to run 4.1 most of the time, and knock it up to 4.2 for benchmark threads
Cheers )Up dated.
Much appreciated.Updated
Ran it on my laptop for a laugh. Doesn't seem to have a single core option?
