FTSE 100 6,224.44 -113.66 (-1.79%)

Heading for a flat finish, BBC still using words like "plunge" and "billions wiped out"

Why not just start being honest, pedalling nonsense hasn't worked out too well recently

The 250 is more reflective of our economic state and although it has made some gains on opening losses it's still way down and has been fairly flat through trading after the bounce back from this morning

That was an unforeseen micro concern leading to a recession. This is a heavily analysed macro concern leading to a recession. Comparing the two would show your lack of grasping the subjects at hand.

A micro concern? it crashed the World economy. How did all the experts miss it?

Stop spinning and accept the fact that the experts failed in 2008, economists are mostly useless.

I'm not up to scratch with all the intricacies of our membership, and how they'll change when we're out. But I voted remain because it just seemed right. I've had a few really great convos with some intellectual remain voters, but I'm ashamed to say that most of the people I work and associate with who voted out where, quite simply, racist. The crux of their argument seemed to be the ‘the dirty brown people stealing our jobs’.

As a result of that, I now feel slightly ashamed of my nationality… believing that most of my fellow brits believe in a world divided rather than one that should be united. Social and political unity has been what my generation grew up desiring (late 80s early 90s). It makes me sad to think that we’d rather be more prosperous alone that a little worse off together.

Just my thoughts though, I’m sure a few of you will be quick to kick my head in xD

Looks like the FTSE 100 is on the way back up:

Plus, Arm are up nearly 4% today:

Obviously there is still a couple of hours trading left.

As someone said earlier on in the thread, the FTSE 250 is more representative than the FTSE 100. As of which it's still doing pretty badly.

LBG stock down over 20% at time of writing. Most UK financial institutes following suit.

Pension funds in chaos.

Japan closed their market early to avoid inducing a crash.

Pound down >10% (8% put us in recession, and we were told during IndyRef that post Yes the forecast 10% drop would put UK in serious recession).

Nigel's got his 'free Britain', just a shame its in shambles.

So you think the Queen's only thoughts on this would be based on how it affects her money?

No, I think her only thoughts on this would be based on how it affects her politically. Since it won't affect her at all, I doubt she's given it much thought.

Funny that the CBI and all of the business leaders who were preaching gloom and doom are now saying that we will be fine and business as usual.
