There is no such a thing as EU Official, Merkel, Sarkozy and the other idiot of Juncker.......that Europe for you! Sorry but I preferred when us italians backed Mussolini that these three...big times and that's common in Italy especially after today!

In the whole situation I just ended up liking Putin a lot...

The UK should keep its line in one way or another... France send here Syrian send them back... simple!

Nearly a full house in OcUK bingo in one single post.

We have cosying up to Nazi sympathisers and power-mad homophobics with the human rights record to rival Stalin. THEN there's the patented OcUK 'send them back' just to add icing onto that gorgeously moist cake.

Bravo, sir.

How about members of the European Commission and Presidency then. They are elected in a very similar way to our Prime Minister.

You're assuming the EU will survive - it wont.

Sounds like a bunch of petty vindictive Germans based on what our resident salty 'experts' are saying.

The EU will be here long after the meat has been pecked from our carcasses. Peoples inability to understand that when it comes down to it, the survival of the EU will be put ahead of any single nations interest will learn this over the next 2 years. There is too much invested in Europe for the EC/EU/Central banks to let this unravel. The UK is going to learn this the hard way.

Go google you lazy sod. :p

You educate yourself, I am no teacher very far from it.

Can we all just chill and stop poking digs at one another.

You lost we won, now lets build a brighter future. ;)

Your posts honestly add nothing. If you want to debate in good faith then go for it, but don't say things like based on history we will be fine and not even attempt to point at the period of history you are referring to.

The EU will do everything that it has to in order to survive, it has no other option.

Why? The EU is a collective of countries - if it no longer works will those countries want to remain? We joined and now we want to leave and in return 'it' wants to bankrupt us? Nice.

Not a teacher but you like to imagine history as you see fit and present it as truth.

Lies can only get you so far.

"You lost, we won".

There's a certain leap of logic to assume I lost anything.

I am merely an observer to this whole sham.

Decades of instability and possibly fighting forecast right here then.

I really hope the EU survives, otherwise I don't like the idea of what may replace it. When large groups fall there will invariable be instability and in fighting (some of which may end up as violent local confrontation).

You need to read up on history to understand why.

It is like asking why the government will support the NHS no matter what.

This is a little like hoping both sides of your house collapses so that it looks balanced. What if it does survive?

Sounds like Hitler style rhetoric to me - most definitely no basis in democracy.

Quite sad that anyone should be 'scared' to leave.

Will they boil our bunnies too?

He knows I'm ready to pick apart and tear to shreds anything he posts as a response. I backed him into a tight corner early on in this discussion and there's a distinct lack of those titanium balls. Seems the bulldog's bark is worse than its bite.

Hopefully its member states or at least the electorate in those states will see it for the corrupt mess that it clearly is.

Thanks all for re-enforcing my decision.

I think you need to go read some books, brush up on EU laws, treaties, some UK constitutional law and then we can have a better debate.

At the moment your posts are not coherent.

Using Hitler as a deflection tactic. Nice

None of the countries want to return to the instability of the early 20th century and earlier.

You assume they're all staying out of fear and not proud to be part of the EU.

Its people like you that probably led to quite a few Leave votes - your smugness is misplaced - you are your own worst enemy.
