The country was asked to vote, the country did vote and you lost that vote! Why should the democratic will of the people be reversed just because you lot can't handle the fact that you lost?

I'd be happy with the loss if it were for the right reasons but I feel that the misinformed resulted in this outcome. Whether it's their own fault or not I have no idea but people should be armed with all the facts before making a decision as massive as this.

Apparently you still don't understand how the EU passport system worked, and why it was so much better than having to apply for dozens of different visa types whenever you needed to visit different countries for different purposes.

Because that, rather than being able to find a job, or affordable housing, or a doctor is of course the key issue people were facing...oh wait no, people were clearly more worried about the latter problems, hence the result.

Build a bridge and get over it.

You mean that rapist and murderers can walk in to any EU country.
But when the visa is in place they can't. Yep I know how it works ;)

But at the end of the day he's right, country voted out and that's that.

Remain voters need to accept that. If it was the other way round the exact same people would be saying that to leave voters.

They wouldn't because there wouldn't have been a massive ****storm to prompt the reaction. And the vote shouldn't be a "that's that" because if the population weren't fed lies for months and were given some facts instead, the outcome would have been different. If it weren't for that, I would agree, but that is the main issue here!

you see. I don't think the outcome would have been different.

Yes. I hope none of the leavers here voted over immigration but I'm sure lots of people out there did.

There were an awful lot of misinformed people voting remain, you only have to look at some of the utter twaddle in this thread and others about how we won't be able to trade with the EU because we won't have a trade deal (lol), or we won't be able to live and work in the EU (also lol).

Or do you just assume that because you wanted remain that everyone who also wanted remain was a paragon of virtue, completely forward thinking, upstanding and intelligent?

Been avoiding posting in this thread as didnt wanna get involved in the butthurt, but a petition because people didnt get what they wanted in a vote that everyone had the opertuinity to tale part in is ******* comical.

my words appear to be English? :)

The point is, blaming the older voter for the exit.

**** me. If you read my post, you'll see I was commenting on the fact that I only saw OLD PEOPLE campaigning for REMAIN. I also suggested that it might have been an idea for the young to have got involved in the campaigning if the result meant so much to them. Obviously that requires effort so they're signing online petitions instead.

That's going nowhere. More than likely the work of butthurt millennials, most of whom probably didn't even bother to vote in the referendum anyway.

The country voted! If they don't like the result, or the demographics behind the result, then tough ****ing ****!

I'm one of these, got called away to work at the last minute and was too late to setup a postal vote. Probably could have nominated someone to proxy vote but wasn't really on my list of things to do.

In hindsight I wish I did, the only thing I have left is the petition. Truly gutted for our country. I sure if we held a second referendum now the result would be different, now people are starting to realise the consequences.

Edited for you mate.

Sadly democracy doesn't work well when you put decisions of this nature and magnitude to a population with a not insignificant percentage of xenophobic knuckle dragging idiots and prejudiced selfish pensioners

I'm absolutely convinced that it would have been.

I'm absolutely convinced it wouldn't.
If REMAIN had spent less time lying about everything and being undermined by the EU bureaucrats on nearly every point they tried to make then maybe it wouldn't have aggravated so many people to tun out and vote to shove it up their lying backsides then maybe things might have been different. But that wouldn't happen.

British people don't like being told what to do.

My only concern with the outcome is it has been made based on stupid reasons such as stopping immigration..... the joke will be on them when they see it doesnt stop!
