I cant get LDD to even install on Win7. Just says my Adobe Flash isnt installed or is outdated then when it downloads that, says it cant be installed and kills the whole process.

Annoying. I know i have flash as i did it manually.

I'm not going to lie, it's back fired on me some what. I have always loved and read Star Wars so my shelves are full of books. So my son wanted to watch the films. I wish I hadn't so early now, now it's all he wants to watch and all he wants to play with. The truth is I would rather have bought figures and ships old school like I had, Kenner stuff but the cheapest way into Star Wars ships/figures these days is Lego.

When I was a kid you could own every figure for £120ish quid. Now they are a tenner each and you won't find them all like you used to. (maybe disney will fix that). So I went the lego route and tbh I love watching him build it and how quickly he has got better. 2 months ago he would struggle to build and understand a £4 lego city set. This morning he finished Jabbas palace and the only input needed from me was to sometimes press bricks together properly for him.

Jabbas palace although a nice set is way over priced for what it is. Much smaller than I thought it would be and for a £100+ set should have included the Rancor set considering how many bits and pieces you get with the Falcon for less money than the pair put together.

Lego credited my account with some VIP money for the bits missing in my kit and sent me a chewbacca keyring. They offered to replace everything that was missing but I didn't have the time or patience to list that much stuff. Good customer service though.

I initially tried to retrofit the motors onto the stock build but it had no drive and fell apart as soon as I turned the motors on. I basically had to redo the entire model, apart from the front which can be reused.

The guy also has a guide for the XL motors, which I think will be good on carpet as they provide loads more torque.

All required parts should arrive by the weekend so I will put up a new video afterwards :)
