The only surfaces large enough for that at home is the coffee table or the dining table.
Neither of which are Lego friendly.

Well i guess it is still 1/3rd of the price of the original goes for...or went for on eBay. But now you get a larger, more detailed one cheaper!

Can I really bring myself to spend £650, thought about it for about 30 minutes and then added a calendar reminder for midnight 30/09 to get my order in, I'm actually really excited!
I always regretted not getting the original. At the time I'd already got the star destroyer and didn't know if I could bring myself to get another expensive Lego set. I've seen people complaining that its just another MF and why couldn't they do something different, but for a lot of us who don't have the original this is great!!

I have the lepin one, is good, but parts sometimes don't stick as well as lego so lacks structural integrity sometimes, will likely purchase this, even though I've stopped buying lego and sold off some of my unopened ones already.

Think I'm going to get it as well... my favourite ship of all time plus the holy grail of lego sets - there is just no resisting that...
A little bit of a question remains about where to store/display it (as others have said above)... I really like the idea of putting it under the glass of a glass coffee table but I don't have room for a coffee table anywhere! I wonder how easy it would be to build some brackets that would allow it to be mounted to a wall safely?

You can make up a wall mount, a common one was to use an adjustable TV wall bracket
