Got plenty of cash too. So may buy the Ecto-1 or just get a couple other sets first that are likely to retire soon.

Am actually tempted by the Sesame St set.

Got the Saturn V for Christmas, my first set for many years.

Got enough funds to order the Space Station from the only place still selling it at original price too (high street catalogue shop), click and collect next week.

I got the Ideas Tree House, the Batwing and the Sith art picture. A busy few days ahead for me in tier 4...

What's crazy is how many of the huge sets are out of stock. Lego.com has hardly anything to buy at the moment.

Yeah the Space Station is back order until 20th Jan on Lego store.

Amazon sellers have bumped their prices up because of this, cheapest is £100+ shipped. Was happy to wait a few days to get it for the original £65.

Its market place sellers trying to scalp something which is out of stock... pretty normal where Amazon doesn't stock it themselves or it's out of stock. It's one of the reasons I try to avoid Amazon where possible.

That said Amazon.de normally has way better deals on Lego.

Just finished another alt brick set, a take on the Ken Block Hoonicorn by Sembo. Really really impressed with this build, 800+ pieces on this small model with some cool building techniques. Only downside is the amount of stickers...135 of them so a steady hand is needed!

Got the Stormtrooper helmet for Christmas and wondering if I should buy the other 2 in the series. Anyone know how long they are likely to be on sale for? Got a bit of a Lego backlog at the moment so adding more kits is a bit of a waste.

It's only 1,071 pieces and each side of "the cloak" is different. She's loving it.

Monotonous? Nah. This is monotonous. All 13200 pieces of it. Borderline Crazy.

Genuine questions? Does nobody ever buy a box of Lego pieces and make things themselves any more, using their own imagination? Then take it apart and make something else? Is it all about kits for specific things?

I’ve seen huge kits that are massive and take weeks to build. What happens to them when you’ve built them, do you leave them out to get kicked and knocked so parts come off and you’re continually repairing them or do you take them all apart and put them back in the box? If so, how difficult are they to build again with all the parts merged together?
