***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

It has arrived! Can't wait to start this later.

Mine should be out for delivery today, well it’s either that or the lantern festival.

When did you get that? Kind of want it after seeing it. But not even on backorder

I placed the order on the 7th Jan (got the ice rink as GWP, which has arrived), I cant remember what it said about being available on the actual item page, but 15 minutes after the order was confirmed I got an email saying it was delayed and on back order with no approx date given.

Nice! Looks quite nice that - Loved the medieval lego sets :D

Do you know what the batteries are for? Never seen them used in Lego

The Forge has a light brick that can be turned on to make the forge look like it has hot coals in it - batteries are in that.

I have the set, it’s well worth the wait.

Loads of the big adult sets are in and out of stock constantly, lockdown symptom I guess.

The forge, as previously mentioned in this thread, as you say a fantastic double.

Fingers crossed mate! Be nice for me to get away from study for a bit, so hopefully starting tonight.

I know, I easily spent a grand in December and January on lego (I decided to spend the money I had refunded from my cancelled holidays). It's been keeping me sane living alone and working from home. I have the Fiat to do this weekend, then the Grand Piano, then next month I want the Imperial Shuttle and at some point the blacksmiths.

It’s arrived but has been subsequently confiscated as it’s my birthday shortly and Mrs Sk8 did pay for it. My attempts of persuasion with the friends polly bag didn’t work :p

All I can say is roll on the day when the lantern festival arrives and the 16th for the Porsche, I’ll be buying that one :D

Haha, I told my Mrs that the friends polly bag was her early Valentine's gift! :)

Now I want the Lantern Festival! :(

Ideas isn’t a theme, just a mix of what people vote for and eventually gets made. That’s what I tell myself every time I buy one anyway...

It’s unlikely they’ll be any follow ups to it. Only really mine craft and the space sets have had follow ups.

Bag 1 done! Will likely start doing a bag a night for the foreseeable. The only place I can build is at the dinner table and it's a bit of a back killer...

Where do you guys build?

As always, starts off looking like nothing :)

I mean the buildings theme. That it Looks Like it fits with.
Trying to keep to 'space' and 'cars' and stuff like that.

Although I do like my jurassic world set. And will be picking up colosseum eventually!

I build on the living room floor, open a bag tip it out and work through it. If bags aren't numbered then I might use containers to keep them a bit organised, but when I did the Sith Picture I had this

I put all bags into one box.
All the bags.

The only time I haven't done this is the millennium falcon. I didn't fancy 6 thousand pieces in one box. So I did half.
Each time I got to a new bag I added another. It took me weeks!

Batmobile. The whole lot. All 3k pieces in one box. Only one I separate are the big pieces.

I did the Falcon in one box, for ultimate hard mode.

I bow to your lego dominance!

Took me countless sessions and neck cramp to finish. It actually felt like a chore until the box volume went down.

With the batmobile, it's all black! So hard to see
