There is a part of me that says "GET!" every time I see that set.
I've been resisting that for around 10 years now.

What makes it worst is the second prices of that set seemed to of really droppedYeah, thats the one set that I have always wanted but never been able to justify.

Most likely because it been out for many years now (or at lest it feels like it been out for years)
There was a previous ucs falcon- 10179. I didn't buy it way back when I first saw it (2010ish). From memory, it was around £300 at the time.
I remember the box was huge.
Ah, the OG falcon, that would be a fantastic investment in hindsight.
Didn't the price tank massively when the newer, more detailed, higher piece count UCS got released?I spent money buying up incomplete Technic sets instead, which turned out to be the better choice for building. Lego sold for reasonable prices on ebay back then...

I'm sure (although I have not googled to confirm) that the batmobile came out after the falcon. I wonder though if the biggest sets they just do a run of x,000 and that's it.I am gutted they retired the '89 Batmobile already. Was hoping to pick it up at some point.

Yea so weird isn't it then, if the batmobile has been out less time. I do wonder if the biggest sets are in a class of their own.Falcon was 2017
Batmobile was 2019
