***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I came very close to buying this today, But i didn't as i have already spend far too money this month and also because am waiting to get hold of the Titanic set when somewhere finally gets it back in stock ..

There is a part of me that says "GET!" every time I see that set.

I've been resisting that for around 10 years now.

I know that feeling all to well.

The amount of times i have picked that box up and then put it back down over the years has been many times :cry::cry:
I even went back to that shop twice yesterday thinking do i buy it or not as i have always really badly wanted that lego set..

Yeah, thats the one set that I have always wanted but never been able to justify.
What makes it worst is the second prices of that set seemed to of really dropped
Most likely because it been out for many years now (or at lest it feels like it been out for years)

Off now to do Bag 6 of my Batwing :)

My other half got me the UCS Millennium Falcon for xmas (2nd hand but all there), started building on Boxing Day and I'm only now about to finish it. I've noticed that the build process can get a bit stale so best to step away from it for a bit and go back to it.

Pictures don't do justice to how big it is, that's a X34 Predator monitor behind it and a mouse to give it some scale. Also, it's pretty flimsy - you don't want to move it very often.

Didn't the price tank massively when the newer, more detailed, higher piece count UCS got released?

I honestly don't know. If it was half the price of the new set it would be a relative bargain.

I really like the big falcon kits, but they are huge, and I wouldn't really know where to put it when it was finished.

I haven't bought any lego for a while. I'm toying with getting a second hand ev3 mindstorms kit at the moment.

Anyone got any experience of those?

I am gutted they retired the '89 Batmobile already. Was hoping to pick it up at some point.
Am kindle of fuming about this as i just finished bag 7 (out 13) of the 1989 Batwing and of cause i want the 89 Batmobile to go with my Batwing :(

I find it really stupid of lego to of retired the 89 Batmobile while there still selling the 89 Batwing

I'm sure (although I have not googled to confirm) that the batmobile came out after the falcon. I wonder though if the biggest sets they just do a run of x,000 and that's it.

Falcon was 2017
Batmobile was 2019

Here's the press release for 76139 1989 Batmobile which is due for release on 29th November! However, as you might have read last week, the set has already been sold in some errant stores around the world:

75192 Millennium Falcon is a Star Wars set released in 2017. With 7,541 pieces, it is the second largest set produced, after 10276 Colosseum.

Not anymore, the titanic is 9k pieces ;)

The cheapest OG falcon in Europe which is still sealed is £1900. So still crazy money really.

The newer set is much better to actually build IMO.
