Sets don't stay out a fixed time.
Some don't even last a ywar
The Disney castle has been out forever!

I picked up a spare batmobile 1987 and glad I did its rocketed. In value. Some sets do!

Ucs falcon is big and difficult to display. I don't really know where to put mine.
Haven't been excited by a star wars set in ages.

2 years is typical but it can be less and it can be more. The old death star set was on sale for near a decade.

I think it’s fair to say that if a set sells really well, it tends to stick around.

The Saturn V has been around since 2017.

Mildly annoyed VIP Double Points day has arrived and the exclusive set I want is out of stock and not available for back order, it's not due for retirement so wish they'd let me back order and get the points:mad:

UCS sets usually do hold great value and often increase. The 89' batmibile dropped to circa £180 for a while so it's current 'retired' value is notable.

Crazy though that the 4xxxx minifig scaled free 89' batmobile which came with it at launch still sells for £100-£150.

@Scrutinize Thanks, I'll give mine a call. Failing that just found out there is a VIP double points event in March I might buy something and add some to the order.

VIP event this week and weekend. Double points so intending to buy an exclusive set I've been hankering after.

Lego store online is EU based. It is completely independent from the UK lego stores hence why the stock checker never works well. If you have a local store quite often they have stock when online is out.

Lego group seems to prioritise store stock regardless. My local store has lots of hard to find sets and extra freebies too. They also reserve items on launch days if you phone up for collection that day.

I raise your Porsche 911 RSR @chaparral with a Lamborghini Sian:

Saw that they were starting to show sold out almost everywhere over here so nabbed one to fit with the two other larger sports cars that I have, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS and the Bugatti Chiron.

Also, due to this thread other people mentioning two other sets starting to become rare I thought I grab those two as well and ended up with what I thought was one way to large box for them:

But once opening it I realized it wasn't as the two boxes are pretty large themselfs ! So here is the
'89 Batwing and Batmobile to be added to the collection !

Not surprised you having them too ! Might mix you up with someone else but if not, don't you have like an attic filled with lego models ??

In any case if that's not you, how are you displaying the Sian and Chiron ? They do take quiet a bit of space so trying to find some ways to display them nicely.

Yes you got me mixed up with GSXRMovistar
At the moment my Chiron is just on a shelf above my fireplace and i haven't built my Sian or any the other large cars yet

Terrible photo as I only have a couple of bare bulbs wired up presently, but tided up the loft a little and put in a couple more shelves for some of the recent kits that have been assembled the past months.

Next job will be to fit some better lighting.

Ahh yes, that was the picture I had in mind ! Thanks :D

Yeah I have, or had rather, the Chiron and Porsche next to each other on a shelf, but three wont fit there !

I'll see what I can come up with later, those three wont be build any time soon anyway so have time to figure something out !
