Indeed. Kind of kills the replayability / imagination :(

:D

See that tub of quality streets in the pic? well its full of about 6 different other Lego Batman / Marvel / City sets. All missing major components so now used as spares. He can imagine whatever contraption he can think of with them!! lol

He's only 4 but kept on bugging me EVERY single night to rebuild what he broke during the day hence the 'special superglue measures'.

I do enjoy building them but after the 5th time in a row its taking the mick!!

Get the unimog while you still can, stock will be short soon. It's now end of life, while the crane is brand new and will run for a few years.
Was about to reply with the exact same response.

The missus treated me to the current technic F1 technic car (42000) for one of Xmas gifts, looks fun. Daughter also got a few city sets.

Bought myself the crane:

GF bought me this, and the mini-camper came free. It looks cute against the full-sized one I already have :D

I've seen one of the F1 cars assembled in a Lego store, and was surprised at how big it was, dwarfs the T1 Camper and even makes my 1:10 Technic Enzo look small...

I've told quite a few people at my new work place that I still get Lego, I get a lot of odd looks.

I don't play with them, but find the building fun and like the end product - I plan to display the UCS / Modular's in nice cabinets when I move.

Anyone else get odd looks when folks find out?

I get odd looks all the time, till they see how well built the stuff is, then i get told later on how they went to a Lego shop and almost cleared the place out :D

Newest build thanks to the missus, loved making this thing and it looks better than the X-wing, something i never thought i'd EVER say!

Yep but like yourself its the building of it that I enjoy, just something to keep the mind busy rather than being sat in front of the usual rubbish on TV.

No different to any other modelling hobby (e.g. air-fix, RC) but with the added bonus of no messy glue/paints, or clean up afterwards.

Got my boy(lol) the Technic Jet and it's pretty smart and quite big too. One missing piece but not a major one and built it without it. It must be nearly two feet long, has retracting undercarriage, tilting tail and swing wings. Only £20 from someone at work as well. Laddie is well pleased!
