love it - got my 6 year old the LEGO Technic - Helicopter - 9396 for Christmas - can't wait to get building with him.

I'll probably see if he wants to use any money he gets to purchase the power up functions thing that can be fitted as well

he won't be able to build that at 6 you might actually spoil lego for him.

Just open it and build it yourself and get him lego suitable for his age.

It's the Grand Emporium, Pet Shop, Palace Cinema and Town Hall, and yeah suppose it is like doll houses for guys !

Also anyone have any idea when the new 2014 sets will be out (based on when 2013's city models were released)? I really want the camper van and new prisoner van.

you want to bet on that? he's already fully built LEGO Technic 2-in-1 Excavator with only a tiny bit of help from me.

He's only asked for the helicopter and an electronics set for his christmas - he's a clever lad (only in primary 2 but already having to get taught primary 3 maths and reading)

I remember going to the actual offices of lego land in Denmark whlst installing software for them. Full tour of the place and offices.

The IT office area was amazing, all the Space series of models all built all over the office, Death Stars the lot. Each department is assigned a product line to test as well as thier day job. IT got the Starwars line of products.

Each office area also has a build desk where all the latest models are left for chill out time to build them and of course test.

Amazing place, will have to dig out the photo's if I still have them.
