***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Mega thank you! Just made a few cheeky offers on the Dozer and TREX. Secretly hoping both are accepted :D

Is it exclusively mobile phone controlled or can you buy a proper controller for it? That's the only thing putting me off.

Bulldozer set 8275 is the one I had. It's a great set.

If you get a few sets, you'll have lots of motors, tracks etc and can build other stuff.

If you're looking to get serious, this book is a great source of ideas:

Bag 1. Is it an AT AT yet?

:)
I'll raise you.....

All good old technic sets are expensive.

My favourites were
The power functions rc bulldozer. That one is great, and is also big. It comes with 3 or 4 motors, so is good for building other stuff.
Lego JCB model 8455- loads of pneumatics. My favourite technics kit of all.
The power function rc dinosaur is also fantastic. It's a TRex and it actually walks and roars. Comes with 3 or 4 motors. Set 4958.
Won the Dozer - £80 and the T-Rex for £45. Very happy, thank you :D

That's way cheaper than I thought they'd be.

Your kid will love both of those. The Dozer is steerable and the trex is just an amazing thing. Did I mention its mouth opens when it roars?

The Dozer gives you a good platform for tanks, half-tracks etc in future

What was the cost of the bricks? Bricklink I assume?
Fake Lego, (usually) stolen designs from Lego community creators and stolen IP which are made up in to sets being sold out of China - the home of copy and paste.

Cheap prices though, quality can be hit and miss.

And finally got around to getting some display units in Ikea

Needs some LED strips but I'll sort that another day. I've another one to be assembled, too and will likely need a few more

I've fitted an led light strip with a built in PUR to my setup. It lights up whenever we walk by :D . Just need to hide the cables.
