** The Official OcUK Mechanical Keyboard Thread **

I bought 2 Quickfire TK's a few weeks ago, and really like them, the brown switches are perfect, i found red on my old MK-85 to soft, but theses are great.

Only thing i don't like is the clunk of the spacebar, but that's only a minor irritation.

Anyone tried the Osmium? I'm looking to buy one when I get paid at the end of next week.

I have an Osmium and love it.

Red switches are great, USB and headset hubs work perfectly and the build quality really is top notch.

media volume wheel, and particularly the backlight dimmer wheel are both great features that I actually use.

This. Wouldn't swap mine for anything.

Got my CM Storm QuickFire TK with Brown switches :)

After 3 days I have to say that I am really impressed, it is amazing!

Build quality is top notch, backlit is stunning, rubberized keys feel awesome and the brown switches are just how I expected them to be, not too soft and not too stiff ;)

I'm thinking of getting this. I have the tenkeyless black version but thinking that the numpad, brown switches and backlighting may be worth stumping £76 for. the TKL will be my travel keyboard :)

CM Keyboards are very well made, certainly worth getting if you want the TKL size, but with the number pad included.

Beware for the Logitech G710+ as it comes with dampeners already fitted, which you might not like, but at that price it is certainly worth it :)

At that price, it is cheaper than even the cheapest Filco!!

Hang on, why does that keyboard have a stupid layout? All the keys are in the wrong place, such as shift+number, backslash etc.

White keys on WRASDC

Need to get blank white LEFT-CTRL for LEFT-SHIFT (or find a small LEFT-SHIFT), E and also try and figure out a way to fit my SPACEBAR as well.

The American keyboard layout is a nightmare if you are used to UK/ISO/Europe or whatever you want to call it. I need my backslash next to the Z and my Hash next to the enter key. I would never use American layout. Why would I when I've been typing with UK layout for nearly 2 decades?

It's a shame as my CM Storm QuickFire Rapid BLACK has the proper UK layout. I like the idea of an identical keyboard with Brown switches, compact numpad and back lighting but it's completely ruined for me with the dodgy layout.

I find the US layout fine until it comes to getting a pound sign (no number pad either, so none that way..). No other problems that that, I'm starting to actually like it better!
