I've got problems kona

Has anyone had both the 6P and the OnePlus 3 to give a bit of a view on which they would purchase by now?

6P would be second hand to compare the prices, yet maybe some price drops for the Nexus with the Sept release of a new model? Coming from a Note 3.

Reasons to get the 6P over the OP3:

Quick Android updates, dual front speakers, bigger and higher res screen, better stills camera.



OP3 over 6P:

Better performance, nicer and easier to hold, cheaper, offscreen buttons and better customisation.

I wonder how quickly the OP3 will get updates. OnePlus have a pretty bad track-record which I am hoping they will try to shun?

What cases are people using? I bought a tempered glass screen protector and a case from the same manufacturer thinking they'd be compatible, however, the case tries to lift the glass off of the phone. Not impressed

Anyone having any notification issues?! I randomly noticed the phone on silent and have to switch the slider up to silent and back to all notifications to fix....fairly annoying!!

MM/Doze bug a lot of phones have had this inc a P8 i had.
Never got any gmail notification unless i unlocked the phone.

Can anyone tell me what the camera is like compared to iPhone 6? And what functions the camera has (panorama, stabilisation etc).

I'm considering ditching the iPhone next time around, but i use the camera a lot.

A work colleague has bought one of these, we did a quick speed test by launching Pokemon Go with no other apps running vs my 2nd gen Moto G (the best budget phone not so long ago)...

Yeah.

The OP3 had fully loaded the game before I'd even see the loading screen with the warning on it It took around 3x as long to fully load on the Moto G.

Yep it doesn't hang about. It's Noticeably faster than my Nexus 6. As it should be.

Had the OP3 for a few days now. Very positive first impressions.

I finally swapped my SIM across to it last night but I am unable to get any mobile data. Im on Vodafone.

I've checked APN settings with this site: https://apn-uk.gishan.net/settings/1457_4_vodafone_apn_settings_for_oneplus_3.php#alt-conf but still no luck.

Any ideas??

Same happened to me on Vodafone.

Yep it doesn't hang about. It's Noticeably faster than my Nexus 6. As it should be.

How does the screen compare to your Nexus 6 ? Thinking brightness and outdoor visibility mainly.

It's brighter than a stock Nexus 6 (though I can make my Nexus 6 brighter than stock as I have franco kernel with over boost). Outdoor visibility is fine as long as it's not in strong direct sunlight.

My update hit a few days ago. sRGB looks ok imo. Less 'bright' but I think it's better this way. Still happy with the purchase. Would definitely recommend.

So I've had my phone less than a week. Just smashed my Orzly tempered glass screen protector. It would have been fine if the case I bought, also from Orzly was compatible with their own screen protector. FAIL!

e; Just bought two new cases and a new screen protector and have avoided Orzly, they'll be here by tomorrow evening. Love prime.
