**** The Official OnePlus 3 Thread ****

I hope they make some improvements to the camera software, the HDR mode is worthless, trouble focusing on anything close (forget macro shots), weird visual artifacts when recording video with low bitrate, also the audio quality is not that good.

Also in some images the background detail in areas out of focus look horrible, no idea what the software is doing but it looks weird.

Basic stills are good quality though.

just switched on sRGB mode, not sure what I think to be honest. seems too toned down? even compared to my old OP1.

not sure if ive just gotten used to the out of the box setting.

Here is a macro shot the first day I got the phone, looks ok to me

Yeah it will take a couple of days to get used to if your not familiar with sRGB. My monitor and my Nexus 6 are sRGB calibrated so the stock settings were to gaudy for me.

I had to edit my wallpaper in photoshop to add more saturation though as I liked it better that way. Rest of the content looks as it should though.

yeah i mean my display at home is sRGB calibrated, this looks a bit dull though in comparison?

might be the brightness, just switched the auto brightness off. seems a bit brighter.

Yeah as posted before auto brightness is a bit crap, I have resorted to LUX off the play store to replace it.

I have just compared a few pics side by side to my monitor and the colours and white balance look right to me. The phone pops more due to it being OLED vs my LCD Dell monitor.

I was comparing to my monitor this morning although I could already tell that the phone display is rather precise anyway. It's much more pleasing now and goes well for using the camera too. I found the way it looked before quite horrid. I'm probably very used to the sRGB look of the phone due to my computer monitor (calibrated for raw image editing).

Got the new update installed and my OP3 is still saying it has the June security updates installed?

I believe the July sec update came out just after the OP3 update was released.

I didn't get the sRGB update although I can't be bothered to use a German VPN. When is it coming to non-German people?

I just the 3.2.1 today - you should have it now or very soon.

Has anyone had both the 6P and the OnePlus 3 to give a bit of a view on which they would purchase by now?

6P would be second hand to compare the prices, yet maybe some price drops for the Nexus with the Sept release of a new model? Coming from a Note 3.
