**** The Official OnePlus 5 Thread ****

I'm going to wait to see what OnePlus bring with the 5 before I replace my 6P. Fingers crossed it will be closer to £400 as that's my hard limit these days, although some report the 5 as being closer to £500.

If rumoured specs are true - SD835, QHD curved edge display, dual camera - then I'd expect it to be nearer £500. Still £200 cheaper than the S8 or G6.

For a perfect oneplus 5 for me:

Bigger battery (even if it's at the expense of thickness)
SD835 (further improving efficiency)
FHD screen (keeping that battery in check)
Perhaps a smaller screen, 5.2 inches (and keeping the current battery size)
Big upgrade on the camera. Perhaps the same sensor as the pixel.

I don't want an edge screen, nor QHD. It's why I'd move away from my S7 edge.

My S6 is up for replacement but I just can't justify the S8 cost. Going to hang fire and see how this turns out

The s7edge edge is bad indeed, not the s8 one though, I find it pretty handy as it's very subtle.

As for the op5, I cast my vote for at least £549 RRP unless pound bounces back by a ton if the specs are anywhere near the mentioned ones.

Hoping for usual stuff, not asking for much. ;)

SD835
AMOLED display (1440p, about time for an update now)
Front facing finger print scanner or stereo speakers (one or the other, doubt we can have both)
6GB RAM
64GB Internal (128GB will probably cost too much)
3400MAH+ battery
UFS 2.1 (Please!!)
No curved glass
Improved Wifi performance
Camera from Pixel or something equally as good (Dual would be nice but only if the second camera does something useful)

Other additions that would be nice but aren't really needed, sdcard slot, water and dust resistance, wireless charging, Bluetooth 5 and availability in gun metal and black on release.

Really want front stereo speakers. I'm spoilt by experiencing this now. I can only see myself paying over £400 if the phone happens to have everything I'd like. OP3 was upped to £329 with brilliant key specs. If OP5 is £500 Oneplus may be abandoning its product design philosophy. At that price I will consider something else.

Don't forget the 3 was replaced by the 3T and this one starts at £399, not £329.
