Grrrr. CTDI have now had my phone for nearly 3 weeks - all that time it has had the status "Pending spare parts".

Sent them a couple of emails and just get standard replies back saying that "the repairs will take place as soon as the parts are in stock".

How can they not carry spares? Screen breakages must be the most common repair there is, why bot have a few screen repair kits sitting in stock.

Just venting - I know it's a first world problem - but hopefully a reminder to all of you to LOOK AFTER YOU PHONE.

Had ago at fitting a glass screen protector and got a bubble in the top left of the screen otherwise perfect.

Got my 7 pro today after getting bored of my works S10.

Only downside so far is the finger print reader.

Also I've enabled dark theme but notifications are still light, any ideas?

Fingerprint reader is a huge downgrade for me. So much so I've turned it off. It just doesn't work most of the time. Luckily I have the phone smart unlocked with my Garmin watch.
Other times I just use my PIN.

I had the 6t for a short while last year and even that was more reliable

Where as I'm the reverse. The 6T FPS almost never worked for me. This one is probably 80-90% success rate.

To put it into context my Nexus 6P was 100% accurate, dirty, clean wet didn't matter it worked all the time.

The under-screen FPS is definitely not as good as the one that was on the back of my OP6. I had no issues with that one but the one on this phone I get a lot of "not recognized" messages.

original screen protector still on and 98% of the time the FPS is perfect....don't have any issues at all.

I have been impressed with the fingerprint sensor. Works quickly and almost every time for me.

The auto screen brightness on the other hand, not so good.

The biggest win is portrait mode without using the telephoto lens
