yeah one of the reasons I dont fancy using standby mode , I always considered the ps3 to be in standby with the little red light showing as this was the only option of turning the ps3 off but the ps4 standby seems to use a lot more power?

If you don't like what MRMoon is doing then you disagree with the way Overclockers works as well.

No one is forcing people to buy them for £500. But if there is a market for £500 PS4's, who are you to say whether it is immoral of people to sell them at that price? It is a games console, not food and water.

I have reserved one at Argos today to pick up later which i will hopefully make an easy £100+ profit on.

Well done, I see nothing wrong with people making a small profit from buying and reselling to people who want one for their kid at Christmas who might otherwise have gone without.

And if he did not buy it to spin it, then a parent could get one for their kid at RRP.

Although any sensible person would order one from somewhere that is still guaranteeing ps4's for Christmas .....Shopto:)
 
I bet half the people saying its all right to sell for a large profit wouldn't feel the same way if it was something they really wanted and had to pay well above the RRP. It's just wrong.

But it is a games console! I would never dream of buying one above RRP anyway. I would just wait.

If people are so impatient that they just have to have it then that is their fault.
 
Frustrating to only just notice that the PS4 does not allow videos or music to be played from a usb stick like the PS3 does so having to keep both consoles plugged in now.
 
Damn, I've tried switching inputs, forcing the output resolution, nothing works, I wonder if the activation system is broken ? has anyone else tried a dvd or blu-ray for the first time today ?

To answer my own question, having left a disc in whilst searching the interwebs for clues it finally started after about ten minutes, also having swapped discs to a dvd it starts up reasonably ok, still takes bout 30 seconds to show the picture but it is now working.

Just tried for the first time. Blurays and dvd's work fine for me.
You getting any audio? or will they just not start?
