game do but some of them you have to ask as they don't always put them on display.

on an astro note do i need the cable that goes from the headset to the controller or is that only for the 360

I am using Astro A50's too and you don't need to connect any cable to the controller.

They have average sound quality at best (cost a LOT for what they are) and are well known for falling apart. I personally own a pair of Sennheiser PC360's, but you are generally far better off getting great sounding headphones for half the price and madding a mic to it.

You're totally wrong on the build quality. I have two pairs of A40's and been using them for well over a year, might even be two now. They show no sign of falling apart, they mainly metal construction and and pretty tough plastic.

Sound quality is down to the persons preference. I like the sound they output, I'm not a big lover of massive bass so they are perfect. The newer 2013 mixamp I have to say is much better for sound quality and it can put out a little more bass.

yeah one of the reasons I dont fancy using standby mode , I always considered the ps3 to be in standby with the little red light showing as this was the only option of turning the ps3 off but the ps4 standby seems to use a lot more power?

err not sure of what your expecting here. Having the ability to download and connect to the PS4 remotely requires the use of some power obviously!

The PS3 in standby mode could do nothing - it was just an over glorified off/on switch if I recall correctly.

Personally I love it - Left my PS4 downloading over 10gb of stuff last night, put it into low power standby mode. Had already set it to turn off after 2 hours of not being used - so by the time I had got up in the morning the games had all downloaded and installed and the system was completely turned off!

Standby mode during the day allows me to connect to it from my vita/phone whilst the kids are playing xbox on the same telly - don't even need to go in the room their in to switch anything on lol (yes, lazy me!) ;)

To an extent - if you were a PS+ member you could have it switch itself on during the night, if it was in standby mode, to download updates and anything else in your download list.

Congratulations, your sample size of 2 is clearly a representative sample ;)

It's ok though, I understand the need to justify your purchases.

For the record, the Mixamps are excellent, it's just their headsets that have a poor reputation.

I just spoke to Amazon, they're saying the guy that got a stand for the camera was a mistake and they won't refund or provided a stand. Bit annoying as I'd expected a stand and without it (and with such a short lead) it doesn't reach my tv particularly well.
