I here fan noise from the ps4 but so far it's not much or any worse than the ps3

It might be as mine sits in a a wooden tv cabinet and although it's open at the front and vented at the rear I think it amplifies the sound. In Killzone the fan really ramps up too quite loud levels at certain points. I must have had a quite slim PS3 as my PS4 is a lot louder than my PS3.

So am I reading this right. The mic is in the pad and you can plug headphones in. Does that emit only in game chat or chat and game audio?

I don't know about the mic being in the pad but you can put headphones into it and select in the audio options to play all audio through them which is what I am using atm. Its really useful.

I'm mainly a PC gamer and I think AC looks fairly amazing. When its stormy at sea is just amazing.

The birds fluttering around in the foliage on the beaches , all the little things are so good to look at

Yeah I guess then , I'm not to bothered about fan noise as I only game on it and I watch movies on my bd player

Anyone got a release schedule for upcoming games? With just Killzone and BF4 I want something different, but nothing out there is appealing at the moment.

Yeah, it works out between 15%-20% for the eBay/PayPal fees.
You have to take the postage into account too, so in truth you are looking at around £435ish to just break even.

Not on the controller but you could probably get a 3.5mm splitter for less than a £1 and that should work.

Not got a link to which ones you mean? I think I need a stereo headset to connect to my DS4 sooner rather than later while decent over the ear headsets turn up...

Just any old iPhone headphones (pre iPhone 5 EarPods from 2012). They will be dirt cheap on amazon. Here's a link.

I did try the EarPod ones for newer iPhones but you get a bleeping noise when you transmit through the mic on the PS4. Shame as they are far better headphones.

Just want to add that this is entirely the fault of the game, it's awful on both formats.

Playroom, Contrast and Knack have done the same thing for both myself and my girlfriend.

Moving in and out of dashboard, removing controllers, signing out and then going back to games have just locked up the games completely.

It's configurable.

By default it's party chat, but I'm fairly certain you can set it to do whatever the crap you want in settings.

Yeah if you can avoid paying ebay's extortionate fees then yes there is decent money to be made, people could try their local sainsburys for sale board too, it's free

turned it on , downloaded patch and now no picture just sound !!!!!!!!!!!
any quick fix or remedy or is it back to sony

i got it working , weird one this, tried it several times plugging hdmi cable in and out.
in the end i unplugged hdmi from tv plugged it back in, worked first time .

anyone else had similar problem ?

That seems pretty good for headphones that don't already have a mic.

Thinking about my previous plan and that won't work since you'd need to find a splitter that has an audio in and most don't.

Im an idiot - after I posted that I realised Ive got a pair of Shures with the iPhone chat cable - I can use that - should be more than good enough for now!

Thanks though for the link - those old bundled iPhone headsets were vile, but Ive got a pair (brand new ) somewhere
