They are, I just directed a family friend to get one from there as she's been struggling to find one anywhere.

I'm not ignoring anything. For the last time, I'm merely saying that I can see why some people might say there isn't much between the consoles. If all you play is sports games, at this point in time, there isn't much of anything between the consoles. That is fact. In the future, that may change, but I think sports games will always be the type of game that look nearly identical on both consoles as they are more about the gameplay and less about the graphics.

My PC is hooked up to my main TV and I swopped between 720p and 1080p on a few games just to see and I can't say I agree with the similar looking thing in the slightest. The scalers I have in my setup are the best in the business, I can choose the GPU scaler, the one in my Onkyo AV receiver or the excellent one in my TV so its certainly not a scaler thing either.

Yaay! I now am the proud owner of a working PS4 :D.

PSN doesn't seem to be working :confused::(.

I've got PlayStation Plus up until January 2015 but it doesn't seem to be acknowledging this on the console, nor will it let me play Multiplayer on FIFA or BattleField 4?

Halp?
 
So has anyone here swapped out their HD's yet? I'm about too. I'm also a PS+ member, so my game saves, should have been automatically uploading themselves to the cloud.

Thinking better to get it out the way now, before it starts filling up and takes me all day instead of a couple of hrs, to re-download and restore everything.

AFAIK, there's no system image and restore functionality is there? So its doing everything manual.

Sounds like an Origin problem.. Check your email that the origin was registered too. I had a similar problem. It was from way way back when I Fifa07 on the PS3, and setup an EA account. It will have associated your PSN account to the origin account. I ended up calling EA and they sorted it out. I had an old email address that was no longer in use and my PSN email was changed, after i created the EA account.

Also make sure the games have updated, before going online, if its not the EA Origin account email that's out of sync.

Can it be done online? For example, switching my origin account to the same email? In fact, I'm pretty sure they use the same email anyway! :confused:.
 
SSD upgrade finished, easy to do. Although I was more nervous doing this than modding my 290X :p. Swapping the drives is easy, manually having to restore save data for each game for each profile is not fun though :o

Glad I got this out of the way early on. Load times seem vastly improved. Everything is instant. SSD seems best choice as no heat / noise from the drive and obviously much faster. 500GB models can be found relatively cheap now. Def would recommend it over the stock drive.

Yeah and before anyone mentions it.. Doing this upgrade on a Peppa pig book is a necessary step :p

Is there a comparison video showing the difference in speed? and what are you going to do with the PS4 drive?

Why pay over £400 for an SSD? Is it really worth it. I must see a comparison video.
