*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Pure pool is excellent, was one of the first Ps4 games I got, and loved it. I still play it now and then...

How did you find the difficulty?

I've completed the Amateur tier for 9-ball but the last match was very difficult - lost count of the number of attempts before managing to beat the AI.

Started on 8-ball and snooker now and making good progress.

Slightly worried about the Pro and master difficulty levels...

Hard , but its worth it. You should get better as you progress. Difficult but good game. One of the best pool games I've ever played. Not got the snooker dlc yet. It's on my list of stuff to pick up..

As for f1 2015. I nearly got the platinum but the ace mode got the better of me ... : -)

Mmmmm!

Here's my story:

As soon as a began roaming Mordor I ran into a group with three captains and a small army of nameless Orcs. There was one whose name I don't remember, Barrel-Scratcher, and Iron Beard. I would come to call them The Three. I took down most of the nameless Orcs but eventually fell to one of the captains. I returned again and again, basically training them on how to kill me, Barrel-Scratcher even found promotion.

I wised up a bit and planned my revenge more carefully. My next strike would be in my favor. I stalked one of them, the one whose name I don't remember. He was the weakest. I waited until he was in a small, isolated group in the remains of a small fort. I killed his archer, then picked off a guard. He must have smelt me hiding in the bush then because my stealthy approach had failed. He and a small group of Orcs chased me out of the fort and into a valley. I held my own here, taking cover under a bridge when I needed, using guerrilla tactics to pick off his men. It was him and just a guard or two left when Iron Beard came from the west to lend aid. I might have stood a chance against Iron Beard one-on-one, but certainly not while also fighting another captain. But this was my chance to take one of The Three down, and I couldn't miss it. I stood and fought. I fell, but not without bringing the weakened captain with me. Iron Beard's power grew during our fight, but I had learned his weakness. Maybe his large iron helmet - his namesake - blocked his vision, because he didn't see it coming when I later dropped from that very bridge and buried my dagger deep into his throat.

Barrel-Scratcher and I had many fights. Most ended with one of us fleeing to safety, a few times I fell the dark warrior, but he managed to pick his pieces together and stitch himself back together. Our gruesome duels left their mark on him. Once only mildly ugly by Orc standards, Barrel-Scratcher soon wore a patchwork of rotten skin and scars on his face. White eyes either by blindness or possessed by the evil that returned him to the world so many times. I never got my satisfaction with that warrior. As he rose through the ranks he became a bigger target, not just to me, but to his brothers. He was eventually slain by The Twin.

While I can never say that Barrel-Scratcher was a friend, I did hold respect for him. Even when we defeated each other, we do so with honor. "I've been beaten by a fellow warrior," he claimed after I defeated him for the first time. It was then that it became clear that we needed each other as much as we hated each other. Two opposing forces. Like the sea needs the beach. It's not revenge that I now seek on The Twin, but rather a fulfillment of sorts. I know Barrel-Scratcher would not have fallen easily, and I must now meet the warrior who did what I could not, or kill the coward who didn't deserve his place.

@hatking: That was truly beautiful. What other game has people telling stories like this right now? The greatest part is everyone else playing it knows the feeling because they have their own rivalries. Early on I disregarded this game as something that would be LOTR video game trash. And it quickly rose into my top games of the year. Amazing stuff.

^^Great story, great game.

My nemesis was some small orc with a poisoned bow. He took me down a few times near the start of the game when I was weak and that allowed him to get much stronger and rise up the ranks. I eventually killed him while riding a beast.

so I got some bargains the other day, Devil may cry 4 special edition for about £12 on PSN and The last of Us remastered for £25 from GAME. I started playing the latter last night and that opening, man it always gets me :(

Id say no.

Bit late, I purchased it. But, am I playing the same game, as it has got some awful feedback and comments about low content and not enough to do.

Yet, I've actually found 16 courses, a wicked crazy golf style challenge mode, full tour career, loads of play now modes and its quite simple to pick up and play. I played it all last night, enjoyed it.

So its either been updated a lot or some folks just complain too much?? Graphically its also very good.

Shadow of mordor I think.

It sounds amazing!

Yeah, Shadow of Mordor. I went for the GOTY version. It is my favourite game at the moment. Great story, great action, great exploration and adventures. Especially when your own adventures tie up with the main mission adventures.

I loved my 3rd mission into this. Ratbag had to become my guide to the next captain that led onto the following. Of course he fled back to the orc pack after those two captains were killed.

The pace and build up to the missions are so incredibly fun. You have to pace yourself, build up your health from all the herbs and such scatterred around the areas. As well as building up your weapons and skills from the orcs around the camps. Then of course plan your fights around the area without attracting a hoard of orcs. I remember a few times having to run for it as there must have been 20 - 30 orcs that were alarmed and captains as they send off the orc horn. Kind of terrifying when they come after you. Especially when some captains can run faster than you. Thank goodness for the wraith elf swiftness.

The mission to defend Ratbag was fun in and around an old ruin. Had to take on one captain and 5 - 6 orcs. Totally fantastic the physics of the fighting as your upgrades progress. My favourite move at the moment is grabbing orcs and use him as a shield as they throw weapons or attack at the same time shank him until he dies then rip his head off. One by one until I can take down the captain. Before that you must make sure you do not get swarmed in the pack as they hit you from all directions. Sometimes the fighting can be quite fun if you try to plan the area but usually it doesn't always go to plan so you have to improvise.

It is great once the action starts from grabbing the orcs, sweeping their legs, stunning them while fighting the others, stun more as it can take 5 seconds for them to recover. Just enough as they get back up and grab them, shank them or the double combo depending on what skill you are to finish them violently ripping their spines apart. Of course it is funny as some of the bigger orcs are shouting to the others, don't let him grab you!

Then some of the objectives start for the stealth missions. This is extremely fun but a tad nerve racking. Orcs patrolling the fort, needing to wait until they take places or momentarily go out of sight. You cannot hide in the bushes but behind them as the rustling will alert them. Once out of sight I had to climb the huge wall without bringing awareness or the mission had failed. Once at the top drop down a ledge from all the broken walls, drop down on the platform behind him as the captain was surveying the area all kitted with bows then shank him/interrogate him for intel on the other captains if they have any, then rip his nasty head off. The orcs down below heard it but couldn't pin point the location.

Of course after the mission was completed, he wasn't a full captain as it was made out to be. So it was onto the next. In between scouting the area and listening to the orc conversations. Shooting the beehives down as they scream and flee. Then drop down to the base floor and rip some orcs apart. In between going into wraith mode and shooting your arrows into the camp fires the orcs set up as they explode with a mighty punch and usually all die.

Of course doing this all in between not coming into sight/contact with the huge Graug. The speed and size of that foul beast. It can throw boulders at you from a very safe distance. Thank goodness for all the rocks/small bridges to hide around/under that is fairly close to the orc bases. I haven't got upgrades yet to kill this beast.

Certainly not looking forward to coming in contact with the Wretched Graug. http://shadowofmordor.wikia.com/wiki/Wretched_Graug

It sure is a lovely dark game atmosphere! Especially the night scenes in the rain. Stunning scenery as well.

I've got Mordor loaded and ready to play but since buying Dragon Age Inquisition a week ago I can't stop playing the multiplayer!

Is there a chance that people using these US accounts will all get blocked or is there nothing Sony can do about it?

Every chance. By providing a false billing address you are probably breaking the PSN terms and conditions somewhere. I don't think Sony have ever done anything about it though.
