I don't know why it rubs me up the wrong way so much when mega corporations try to virtue signal.

There has been a lot of it with Covid as well. Adverts that are still adverts but make out like their number one concern is peoples safety. Its just so resoundingly disingenuous. All these company CEOs would sacrifice 1000 children if they got a 20% pay rise.

As others have said, this is nothing to do with the race riots and everything to do with potential negative publicity and a lack of focus from the media.
 
I get why they’ve done it from a commercial perspective, but the reality is, it was fine when hundreds of thousands of people had died from Coronavirus and now because one man was killed in the custody of the police, it’s no longer ok. Sure Sony. Don’t want all those voices being drowned out!
 
Hope that is the look of the console, looks clean! Totally expected a delay once all this latest craziness kicked off, and don't mind it at all, even though it's disappointing.

Of course, I personally see nothing wrong with. With billions of $ on the line, this is the smart thing to do. Why take the risk ?

Many seem to disagree for some reason. It is obviously a business decision. They want maximum media coverage, they won’t get that if they stick with that date.
 
So - quick couple of things. Nice picture, already ruled a fake.

Of course Sony had to postpone the event. There has to be no possible way that a large corporation such as Sony could even look like they were removing focus from the current events.
There are some little kiddy winks who are getting upset - fine, let them sob into their bag of sweats. Those few people would pale into insignificance compared to "While the world morns the death of.......Sony decided to show case their new games".
Throw in a proposed memorial for Floyd on Thursday, there really was no option.

The delay is disappointing, but I'm not disappointed with Sony about it.

Don't see they have much choice really, I doubt they are overly happy about having to delay either.
