I have both PS5 and Series X, they both have their appeal. I think it all boils down to if there are games on PS that you want to play, and if there are any titles you'd miss by not having a Series X?

I've always bought the cross-platform games on Series X, but I can see that changing in the future. I think Xbox is clearly now out of the race with innovation and power, unless they have something up their sleeves, which is doubtful as we would have heard something, so that creates no competition on consoles until MS release the next gen, perhaps at the very earliest, 2026? Who knows.

I don't have any plans to sell my Series X though, as there are titles that still interests me.
Thank you. That is very useful. I'll have a think and look through the PS5 exclusive games and see if there is anything I like.

Other thing to consider is do you want to "waste" money by continuing to build your games library on Xbox if there is a chance you may jump ship next generation ? If Sony's 1st party titles appeal to you, then you have 3 options : a) own both a PS5 ( Pro) plus Series X b) sell off the Series X and buy a PS5 ( Pro ) or C) consider a gaming PC and pick up the Sony titles as they are released on Steam.

If memory serves me correctly, you have no interest in option "c", so it really comes down to which console will you get more value from. Personally, I think Xbox is in its death throes - in the console space, at least. Upcoming Xbox 1st party titles like Indiana Jones are coming to Playstation. So the question for many is, why own a Series X/S if Playstation has access to all the games ?

Thank you. I do have a few games on the Xbox I don't want to lose plus I'd have to wait for the PS5 disc drive as well and once I have that think about getting rid of the Xbox.

Just seen some footage of dragons dogma 2 running on the pro. (And Spider-Man 2 / tlou2) think it might be from the same person who uploaded the pro unboxing in Brazil.

More Brazilian footage.

I've put in over 45 hours into Spider-Man 2 on PS5. I don't care what anyone says, even from the Youtube video I can see the difference in the 60fps RT mode in the 1st 2 mins or so. The last half showing the new Fidelity mode looks amazing as well, but I notice some screen tearing. Hard to say if its the Ps5 Pro or the capture/Youtube.

GTAV.

I dind't realise this was getting a patch. Hard to say if it's legit, but even via Youtube this looks sharper and smoother than I recall it being on PS5 normally.

Wow, stuff is coming think and fast now. I'd be stunned if R* patched GTAV. Bloody scoundrels need to do an RDR2 patch.
I thought the same :p at the very least I'm expecting to pay R* for the privilege of a PS5 Pro patch!

The GTAV video definitely looks better than my PS5 though. Maybe someone is playing shenanigans and it's PC footage or something ...

Ironically the PC version was never updated with the same improvements the current-gen console versions got, they've only just announced it's getting those upgrades in an upcoming patch.
