Aye. I found my OG box after all after I thought I'd binned them both (found the XSX one too). Got a drop off via CEX on Friday for cash trade-in for £243. That effectively equates to getting the Pro for £317! Much more palatable. Just hope the damn thing gets shipped and delivered on Thursday.

You could try the Very Trick if you dont have an account. Open a credit account, buy for 20% off, when the first month comes round pay off the entire amount and close the account. It used to work in the past.

Preordered last night from JL.

Not really a Sony fan in this household after a disappointing experience with them. But decided this console might be worth a punt.

Currently have series x and my son has the PC downstairs now, so for some light gaming in the lounge itll be good.

Interested to see if they manage to ship my late order tomorrow for delivery on the 7th

I'm assuming Sony Direct will ship tomorrow .... status still stuck at "preparing to ship" and their site says they don't do any shipments after 3pm Mon-Friday.

Yeh I read their faqs and they ship day before. Means I'm unlikely to get mine on the 7th now.

Out of interest why favour Sony direct or Amazon etc when JL gives you 2 year warranty?

Are people getting better deals? Or is the JL warranty not worth it?

Seemed like a no brainer to me to buy from JL.

Can’t decide between playing Spiderman or TLoU Pt1 on the Pro 1st, leaning towards Spider-Man as I’ve not played it yet, but I do love the TLoU story not played it fully since PS4 days.

Also tempted to pick up Alan Wake remastered, not played it and I do really like the Remedy games, Control was awesome.

Seemed like a no brainer to me to buy from JL.

I suspect the hype and FOMO kicked in and PS Direct was initially the only seller for a week or so before third parties had stock / could sell. I doubt there was a particular fear of ever selling out of the Pro but folk like to get in quick to secure a spot.

I had no intention of buying the thing till ChocAndGray piped up with a nice little clock via Very and their Very pay 20% offer.
