It’s pretty brutal at times isn’t it! Comedy deaths are great.
Man Those things that rip your whole arm off before biting half of your head off had me like

Edit. Atmospheric as heck

Xbox has a new marketing campaign where they claim various electronics are an Xbox, because they play Xbox games or can stream via vloud

One of the social media managers took it a step further and claimed the PS5 is an xbox

Social media manager? Well that’s a slam dunk bs comment then isn’t it. Contrarily, if GP came to PS I’d sub. Does it make it an Xbox? Probably not.

Is Elden ring getting a pro update or does anyone know if it plays better currently on the pro ? I’ve been PC gaming for a few weeks mainly black myth in 4k and coming back to this on ps5 og is painful

I watched a df video that it plays much better on the Pro although it's not actually patched.

I play it on performance setting to prioritise fps on my og ps5 no ray trace and it slows down loads sometimes borderline giving me a headache !

It's not getting a Pro patch, but the game now plays close to 60 fps ... any dips are minor and within the VRR window ( obviously you need a VRR capable display ).

They've really fleshed out the games catalogue since last I had a PS5. I'm impressed by how many titles are on there that I had on my wish list on Steam etc.
It's better than Game Pass now ; almost zero difference between them in terms of 3rd party games. Playstation has a better catalogue of 1st party titles, in my opinion. Other than Forza Horizon 4/5, Xbox hasn't made any worthwhile 1st party games within the last decade. Game Pass has better back compatibility ( with Xbox / 360 era ) but having access to games from 10-20 years ago will mean little to "modern" gamers. And finally, the price of Game Pass has been creeping up ... two increases within a year, and probably more to come.

I play on a Sony ag9 oled it doesn’t have vrr and I think it’s 60hz
It's not a solid 60 fps ... DF did a video on Elden Ring a couple of weeks ago. But it basically never drops below low 50's. On the base PS5 frame rate can go down to low / mid 40's, which is outwith Sony's VRR window.

I think the only argument there is If you own an Xbox and a PC, then you do have quite a bit more choice there. But yes, if you're comparing the console offering specifically, I would have to agree.

Still working my way through Spider-Man Remaster, the game is far bigger than I was expecting and as you progress they open up more and more. And swinging your way through the city is so much fun, reminiscent of Arkham City which I really want to go back and play.

Had my Pro delivered from Very today, they quoted by the 29th so am happy it was sooner and on a Sunday.

Going through the data transfer process now, thinking this was a mistake as it is slow as anything over my network... doh!

Not installed the disc drive yet, thought I'd do that once it's up and running.

It's not the same feeling as getting a Mega Drive for Xmas as a kid but pretty close :)
