If people buy the no disc version then how can they play the ps4 games they have previously bought?

Unless they are prepared to give away digital copies of games we've previously played on our playstation account then effectively the no disc ps5 player is starting from scratch.

I'd imagine you could download the games you bought digitally on ps4 again, if you got it on disc hard luck.

Despite seeing all the games I was left feeling nothing. I get that graphical leaps aren't as big now as say the jump from ps1-2 was but if someone said all that was on PS4 pro I would believe them.
Really making me rethink what's the point of getting either new console.

You checked the actual 4k footage?...

I don't disagree. The UK internet infrastructure needs to continue to improve to support this, though. You'll have millions of folks downloading 70-80gb games on release day etc.

Already happens on PC massively, and on multiple console games (F2P BR games, I'm lookin at you), doesn't it? It's really a drop in the ocean bandwidth wise.

So out of all those games what did we actually see that will benefit from the secret sauce SSD’s? I don’t think I saw anything.

world class hype by Sony.

Ratchet & Clank for sure, instant changing scenes with loads of detail. I'd say Horizon aswell, the density of the environment was next level and implied quicker traversal.

Yes I did on all of them. I couldn't tell either if any of it was gameplay like in hzd. Possibly spoiled by pc but nothing made me go wow.
Probably a case of the smart thing would be to wait a year or so as a lot of those titles are works in progress anyway.

One question can it be placed on its side? no way would that fit on my tv shelve otherwise.
Yes looks like the "stand" will be supplied and that is used as well when laying down to "prop up" the end.

Presumably they are the same people who buy mostly digital PS4 games at present.

Personally I'll be buying the version with the disc drive - my <30Mb broadband struggles enough with patches and the like - it's bad enough waiting for a day 1 patch after you buy a game, let alone waiting for a full game to download

Hate the design looks like the same people designed this as some of the wifi routers. Can it at least go on its side, i have no space for it if it has to stand up.

That's another advantage of digital - the patches are already integrated.

Demon's Souls Remake screens. GIVE IT TO ME.

The PlayStation store existed for digital purchases for PS3, fella. :p If you've got PS4 discs then you'll need to buy PS5 normal edition. Or sell them all and rebuy them digitally. Sony won't give you owt for nowt.

I'll probably be buying the one with the disc at launch, as long as there is a killer game that gets announced from now until release.

Me too, especially when we know the last of us part 2 has a 100gb install.

Cool, I might actually get the disc version if i decide to get the PS5, despite being all digital this gen its good to have a UHD player as well.

So undecided xbox series x or PS5, can't be getting both at launch.
