I signed up to the premium one this year to try the older games but hardly even touched them. Was ideally hoping they'd have all the Resistance games on it but they don't.

Don't think I'll bother next year and just drop down to the Extra tier.

Extra definitely as that gets you a shedload of games in the PS+ catalogue. But Premium, for me, no. I don't play PSone or PS2 games and I've done a lot of the PS3 ones when it was PS Now. There are some PS4 games in the Premium catalogue - remasters of PS3 games mostly but I've also played a lot of them on PS Now. It might be worth subbing to Premium for 1 month if you have some you want to play, then dropping back to Extra.
Which one gives PS2? As that was the JRPG glory days.

I got a PS5 with Forbidden West delivered last Saturday (£500, before the price went up) but haven't even taken it out of the box yet. I'm still on the fence about keeping it. I haven't turned my PS4 on for months and just feeling very unmotivated.
I loathe paying full price for games and went into Game and CEX on the weekend to see if they had anything, and they had hardly anything decent. I'm also wondering about whether or not I should just sell it and wait for the Slim version and PSVR2.
Or I just bite the bullet and buy Cyberpunk 2077, TLOU2 and wait for Ragnarok and get stuck in!
Edit - I haven't completed Zero Dawn yet hence not staring FW.

Same PS5 bundle here last weekend as well:), I'm also yet to play anything on it, but only because Im still playing Guardians of the Galaxy on my xbox. I like to complete a game before I move on, especially when it's a story based game.

I can't wait to get stuck into Forbidden West, and have Day's Gone to restart as never finished on my ps4 I sold a few years ago, then want to try Ghost of Tsushima (PS5 version), Stray, and Last of Us part 1 when it goes cheap. I will sub to PS + extra to try any available on there eventually as well. I don't really care if either console gathers some dust over time, its nice knowing I own both for when any decent exclusives come along.
Got plenty to keep me entertained over the coming Autumn/Winter.

I was feeling a little unmotivated a few months back as well, but now having both consoles I got plenty of games to get stuck into and Im looking forward to re playing some games that have had the PS5 treatment.

I think I'm in the same boat except instead of an XB1X I'm going to upgrade the GFX card in my GPU enclosure I use with my laptop and play XB/Windows games through that.
Days Gone is excellent, possibly the best game I've played since The Witcher 3. The main thing for me is picking up games that are noticeably better on the PS5, otherwise I'm going to feel cheated

You would be surprised at how many games that i have bought for very cheap. I think the only ones i have bought at full price were Resident Evil Village, Alan Wake and Dying Light 2 the others i have purchased for less than £20. Deathloop(new) - £15, BF2042(new) - £10 - Assassins Creed Valhala(2nd Hand) - £15 Metro Exodus(new) - £15 to name a few, they are always coming up, just keep an eye out on HotUKdeals. On Top of this you can get a year of Plus Extra for £60 which has some fantastic games - Metro Exodus, Deathloop(Coming soon), Ghost of Tsushima DC, Death Stranding DC, Returnal, Spiderman Miles Morales and thats not even touching some of the upgraded fantastic back catalogue of PS4 games like Days Gone, God of War etc. TLOU2 was on plus a little while ago, i can see that coming back in the future but the PS4 version can be had for £15 second hand.

In short there is a ridiculous amount of content available for the PS5 now, i wouldnt be without mine, however i do have an abundance of free time when i am not working.

Good idea, I can't see the point in owning an xbox if you have a good PC/Laptop with xbox gamepass in combination with a PS5.

@ZXSpectrum Where can you get ps+ extra for £60?, thanks.

I bought my PS5 2 weeks ago and I want to play it more than the PC at the moment.

This is mostly down to the fact that there are some cracking games to play like Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War etc. that are just better than most Single-Player games on the Xbox/PC.

I love my PC but the simplicity of the PS5 is fantastic. Being able to start up the PS5 and within seconds get back to playing the game in the same place I was yesterday is really good.

As an xbox owner as well, one of the reasons I wanted a PS5 was for some of the cracking story driven single player games like you mentioned. Xbox just isn't as great in that area yet.

Playing HZD Forbidden West, tried the different graphics settings and for some reason sandstorms and the likes are all pixelated it looks nasty. Not sure if my PS5 is on the brink but every other game works flawlessly. Anyone else noticed that?

My PS4 used to do this with Days Gone. Trees and other foliage were like blocks on certain areas. Apparently it was a bug in the software.

Dont forget; Buy the PS4 version and upgrade to the PS5 version at reduced cost. Saved a fair few quid this way.

Yeh whatever AA they have used in this game its crap. Completely ruined what should be a stunning game.

Did not notice that. Looked amazing after they patched it a few months ago. I always play in performance mode if available.

I have a 4k HDR screen and while it was not ultra PC quality it was still good. It's all relative I suppose.

Outside of the official Sony offerings, does anyone have experience with or a recommendation for suitable replacement covers for the PS5? Looking to get a black set so it does not stand out as much.
