Days gone - one of the best games I’ve played, it gets better and better.

Detroit become human - interesting story and choices, but slow at times

Stray - quirky, cute, short

MM - absolutely adored this game, Spider-Man, but developed a tad more and a cracking soundtrack. Shortish.

GoT - just an absolutely beautiful game in every way, wow. Another one of my top games. Visually breathtaking at times as is the soundtrack.

GoW - epic from about minute 1 and it just builds and builds.

Along with that theme, I just preordered Ragnarok :D

My order:
Days Gone (I saved this for when I had a good bit of time off work)
GoW
GoT (again, needs time)
MM
Stray
Detroit

Thanks, It might be a toss up between God of War and Ghost of Tsushima then, Days gone after as I want a break from zombies.

Does God of War have a PS5 patch?

Have to admit I don’t fully understand all of them.

Edit: this was quite a useful read - https://www.polygon.com/platform/am...des-ps5-ps4-performance-resolution-comparison

Definitely favour performance I think, I even struggle with 40fps on a game like this. It’s whether to then use HFR mode.
I will try them all out but expect to use the 60fps mode so the resolution can go above 1440p but still be plenty smooth.
40fps will be too slow for a game like this for me.

Just received my pre-order bonus item codes for this arriving tomorrow. Think I'll try the 120Hz/VRR performance mode to begin with - according to Digital Foundry this supports a minimum resolution of 1440p with an average frame rate of approx. 80-90fps. Will have a look at the 4K/40Hz option, too.

Dispatched today. However, hope this isn't an MK11 affair where you have to download the whole game and the disc just serves as a code .....

Did you try 40 FPS mode on ratchet and clank? It was by far the best way to play that
yes i did but reverted back to 60, im fine playing at 40 or even 30 on slower games like tlou1 remake but with fast paced games it needs to be 60 im afraid.
I will certainly try the 40 mode as i do love an extremely crisp image but i think when you get into some action in this you will want some more fps.

Really looking forward to this as i only played through the 2018 version a few months ago for the first time and altho it took me a while to get into when i did i was gripped.

Got dispatched today so when home from work i will start installing and updating it on my terrible internet so its ready for when the kids go to bed.

GoW Ragnarok is £40 for the PS5 version at ASDA  (on HUKD)

(I think it might be a misprint in the xmas catalogue, but they have sent thousands of those out)
