Traded my xbox one s in today for a PlayStation pro. Haven't had a PlayStation for years so not bothered about a ps5 yet. The ps plus pass is absolutely amazing. Gamepass used to be far superior but it isn't anymore.
Safe to safe the first game I'm playing is stray...because why wouldn't you want to be a cat...
that’s one of the reasons why they differ. One sub is a heck of a lot cheaper than the other - thus the games on offer take a hit in quality.I agree, the Playstation subscription model offers a higher quality of games vs Microsoft's Game Pass. However, using the Microsoft Rewards scheme can reduce the cost of maintaining a Game pass sub, even negate it totally. Sony doesn't offer anything similar - if they did, or if MS abandoned the Rewards scheme, then it would be a no contest for value.
Oh sorry I didn't pick up on the names, I thought there was just 1 dlc coming out, but the burning shore is none vr (which is why I was struggling to work out what you were on about). There is a separate DLC coming for non VR.
Buying credit for less than face value, though i have never heard of AUS credit going cheap. Or waiting for Plus sales which happens at least 2 times a year. Are there any offers or tricks like the 3 x years Gamepass one? I picked up my PS5 during the week, still in it's box until I finish Days Gone. No doubt it will try and force me to sign back up to PS+ as soon as I boot it up.
Afaik quick resume only works with a single game at a time. I paused gt7 the other day and put my PlayStation in standby. Booted straight back into the game no issues. It seems the instant resume is a bit different to my old Xbox series S.
I always power the console off. After I power back on sometimes I load Miles Morales and I'm in game and sometimes it loads the main screen and I have to pick my game save to continue. The loading is so fast that it doesn't make a big difference, but I am curious as to why the game only instant resumes sometimes and not others. On Xbox there was some sort of icon on games that were "paused" and can be quick resumed. Is there anything similar on PS5? I guess PS4 games won't support Instant resume but Miles Morales is the PS5 version.

That explains it, at the moment I am booting up a few other games, just to try them for a few minutes, so as soon as I do that I basically lose the quick resume data of the previous game.Afaik quick resume only works with a single game at a time. Yes only one game at a time and you’ll stay in game if you use rest mode. Powering off will shut down any running apps/games. Because of the SSD it’s pretty painless either way as it is so fast. That explains it, at the moment I am booting up a few other games, just to try them for a few minutes, so as soon as I do that I basically lose the quick resume data of the previous game.
Xbox system is much better and clearer for Quick resume tbh, but no big deal, as the PS5 games I tried (so far) all load super fast anyway.

Now I know how it works I can set my 4xoectations accordingly!Yes only one game at a time and you’ll stay in game if you use rest mode. Powering off will shut down any running apps/games. Because of the SSD it’s pretty painless either way as it is so fast.
I rarely use it. Unless I’m doing an hour long race on GT7. Any other game is so fast at loading, Makes quick resume redundant. Now I know how it works I can set my 4xoectations accordingly!
But now I'm even more baffled what they're doing with the 175 odd GB that isn't accessible to the user on the 825gb sad! I thought it was all for quick resume, until now!

That seems to jump up and down in size randomly. Sometimes it’s less than 50GB sometimes way higher. Must be some sort of cache but not sure why. If it was the OS then why would it jump around so much! Now I know how it works I can set my 4xoectations accordingly!

And nudge you towards buying an SSDIt's for over-provisioning and wear-levelling I imagine. Effectively stops you from filling the entire drive.
