Appears to be only you so far.... :p

As far as i'm conserned, Home looks better than Xbox Live.

I wonder if they will make it so you can display gaming trophies :D

That would be a good feature, Giving home trophies like the achievements on the 360.

And being able to display them for people to see.

Can i put that in my signature?

I know it has a lot of potential but how they will go about implementing it remains to be seen.

It's all yours, But its a daring move :D

I was worried to even type it, was expecting a backlash :p

They already showed it in the GDC keynote didn't they, the trophy system.

To showcase it is different from implementing it to work in real life with millions of users on it.....There would be unknown problems that was probably not seen at the testing stages.

There shouldnt be anybacklash, this is a ps3 thread! any pro360 post will be rtm and promptly delted by my friends in high places. lol.

I can't decide about Home tbh. It'll either be great or one of those things that just gets in the way. Must admit though, afte rusing Live and the 360 dash, the XMB and PSN seems a little half-baked. I'm getting used to it now though :p

Home looks pretty poor if I'm honest

The whole concept and idea of it is pretty good I must admit, but they just seem to have ballsed up on it again like Sony have with so many things lately

Its just an excuse for Sony to chuck some advertising in our face but disguise it as a cool new system. The fact theirs banners everywhere you look, and pictures on the wall. I mean fair enough advertising the latest games but you just know companies like EA are gonna come along with a big wad of money and put their logo and adverts everywhere

The "Hall of Fame" is shocking, So I can only show off a few tropies/achievements, that sort of goes against the whole point of it. I wanna show off how amazingly good I am :p by showing everyone the sheer amount of trophies I've earned, not having to just show off about 10.

Its going to be full of little kids putting pictures and videos of porn everywhere using the whole "sharing media" thing. Not that porn is a bad thing, but theres a time and place for it :p

Another thing I dont like is that its all very flash and pretty yes, but if I just wanna chat to people I have to do it through this. Great thing about Xbox Live is its plain and simple, but if you wanna do something, you can get to it quickly and just do what you wanna do, not have things get in the way

I hope I'm proved wrong and they do a good job but I cant see it. And before anyone moans about me being a fanboy, I'm picking up my PS3 on release day just like the rest of you so shh :p

I don't think you HAVE to use it, you should still be able to see who's online/send messages like you can now.

As far as I know from reading about it and watching GDC, basic chat functions are done through this

Then obviously in games you can use the voice chat functions in there, but even then a lot of games are being shipped without voice chat functions such as most recent EA titles, Def Jam: Icon being the latest

So they're going to take out the functionality that's already part of the xmb? Surely not ?

Have you seen GDC keynote because your comments on trophies is not all quite there. You can show your game replays like slaying some boss or best lap on tv on wall and people can come in these rooms and see what you achieved. That trailers crap really the Keynote showed so much more and is definately worth a watch. And its not just 10 in fact there a whole wall full if you see the Keynote it quite mental tbh. :D

Also Sony were keen to stress that this is a seperate part you dont need to use it is an option so there will be the simple stuff im guessing.

Indeed, I see it more as a place to use together all the features that you could use separately from the XMB interface.

If it was the only way to use things like chat or friends list then it would be crap, but I believe they have stated that it is an addition to thr XMB rather than a replacement for it. SO you can use whichever is quicker.

I like the idea of HOME, but obviously it is going to have to live up to a lot of the ideas they have suggested would be possible for it, in a shorter rather than longer period of time if it is to become more than an initial 1-2 month gimmick. i.e. if they take like 1 year to implement the private apartments features, the public spaces (cinemas, arcades etc).

The fact this is quite an innovative idea shouldn't make most people forget that up till now there has been quite a lot of bad news for PS3 (especially in the EU) in the last 12 months.

I am sure after the bold promises that Sony have made for this has the potential to make or break their online strategy, as this is their much rumoured answer to xbox live.

I have a wii atm im in 2 minds to trade it in for a 360 or ps3 as the games that are coming out for the wii dont really interest me, I mainly got the wii for wii sports but after 3 months of playing that its starting to bore me :p

the price of the ps3 is huge i have owned a 360 before so would really like a change and go for the ps3 but is it really worth the extra £150+ pound

Without any bias, fanboyism, prejudice, or impartiality whatsoever....Yes it is worth the extra 150pounds :)

I'm currently in two minds about getting a PS3, I've got one guarenteed for launch, just unsure whether to actually bother. I want to, but then I'm thinking is there anything thats making it worth that £420.
The fact I'm thinking this should be reason enough for me to say no tbh but I'm still undecided

So, Mr Razur, please try and sell this to me, again, without any bias, fanboyism and prejudice, impartiality. Why should I get one of these when I already have a 360 and Wii, (other than the e-peen rights of saying OMG I have PSWii60)

Reason I ask you to do this is you obviously know your stuff, so can tell me everything I need to know :p
