My first phone was a 3330 so the generation after this I think, maybe.

My favourite though was still my dads 6310i he had for work. Felt good in the hand, I loved the blue tinged back light and it lasted for weeks battery wise.
 
Nokia need to go back to find out how they made phones so good before the 1999-2003 era if you ask me :) My 6510 lasted me a good few years, wish that kind of sturdiness was still present. Hell I'd even sacrifice a few grams of weight for it to be made like that.
 
First phone was a Philips C12!

I changed the antenna for one that flashed when a call or text came in, great phone and only used to be 5p a text, but when the phone died I couldn't carry on with the tarrif as the SIM was locked to the handset and BT Cellnet wouldn't unlock the sim from the phone.

And then a Nokia 8810

Bought a PAYG Genie sim (first people to offer unlimited texts) and then bought one of these babys off e-bay for £90 only a few months after it was released.
Infact, I went through a couple of these as I loved the phone so much before eventually getting something else.

Yep, same here. I was lucky actually, I got my 5110 for my 13th birthday and for some reason came with the slimline Li-Ion battery, which made it a lot thinner and lighter than everyone else's. My parents had 5110s too, between the three of us we had loads of Xpress-On covers for them.

After I had the 3310 for two years (which seems like an age for a phone these days), I finally got my hands on the 3510i:

I was the envy of everyone at college when I got that, one of the first people there to have a phone with a screen that could actually show colours. Amazing. I liked that mine also came with the blue front and white back covers like the one above too. Everyone else who got one after me had one colour only.

And that's where my Nokia history ended.

@leoncc I am currently bidding on an 8210 ;) starting to collect these old phones in new quality....... PS the condition of them nokias is how I have won my 3210 ! ! ! top quality !
