Sam Tomkins starting for us tonight Welcome back big lad, you've been missed.
***Edit***
14-6 HT. A try for Tomkins on his return was good. The red card for Sims was entirely bizarre...apparently the Hull player falling into the head contact and then making an absolute meal out of it doesn't count as mitigation? Hey ho. Helping our cause was Hull thickit Sao deciding to try and brain Tomkins, earning himself a red and putting the sides back to equal manpower.
Still some annoying handling errors on our side. We'll need to iron those out and not start the second half like we've been doing of late, making mistakes and conceding early tries.
***Edit 2***
Ah, I see. Sims got the red not for the contact, but for picking up the 'injured' (there was nothing wrong with the snide ****) player. Okay. Irritating, but okay.
***Edit 3***
Yep, did it again Silly error leads straight to a Hull try.
***Edit 4***
Better, for a while. 20-12. Both sides making basic errors as the tiredness and the heat get to them.
Masterclass stuff from KROutstanding stuff! Top of the league!
Fair to say that I did not see that Catalan defeat to London...
This was some good jinxing!Wigan will lose once this season v Leigh. I'm pretty sure it will be tonight. It was only some flashes of Bevan French stuff that got them home in the last game. Wigan are in their typical mid-season lull and its definitely a good time to play them.
Terrible decision from the player, coaches and manager to play him.Didn't factor in that Moylan was playing with only one arm
Ive not seen the Smith incident, but heard it was bad?Thought Leeds played well, but Wigan faded badly after the first 30 minutes.
Wtf was Smith thinking?
Kind of flopped on a downed guy leading with his elbow/forearm to the head.Ive not seen the Smith incident, but heard it was bad?
Pretty standard stuff from 20 years ago, but absolutely moronic in today's game. 2-3 games if he's lucky. I wouldn't be surprised if Nsemba doesn't get called up for some niggly stuff on the same player.
This lack of form in July/August isn't unusual from Wigan, but the lack of O'Neill will hurt them as the games start to get more intense. Leeming offers a running threat, but not the same toughness. Wigan went into the season with 3 decent hookers and a worry about them all getting game time, but have one left standing at the moment.
As I said, its a good time to play Wigan right now.
