**** The Official Samsung Galaxy Note 20/Ultra Thread ****

how much tax do you estimate to pay on that?

You can use online calculators for an estimate.

Taxed on the value, insurance and postage, so if he's declared full value then a hefty couple of hundred. Might still work out cheaper than UK RRP though , but obviously no way near as it would without the tax.

Of course the Import doesn't have the same warranty care etc so something to keep in mind.

Fingers crossed :)

Any glass screen protector recommendations? I've heard Whitestone Dome are good but don't want to spend that much. Also heard AmFilm Ultra UV glass are similar but can't seem to find them available in the UK?

You know the applied screen protector is perfectly fine and works very well its still on my Note10+ . whitestone are overpriced and have finger print sensor problems for some

I went from the 11 pro max that i've had for the last year to this phone, performance wise it's been great, co complaints it's still really fast even though its the exyonus. Also the camera is excellent, battery life though isn't as good as my iphone, although i am using it a lot at the moment as I've been off work so I need to charge before the day is out. Fast charging though is excellent so it doesn't really matter.
Yeah I think the difference between the Snapdragon and Exynos will not be apparent in everyday use, benchmarks are around in all types of tech but the real world difference in this case is battery life, not by a massive amount but still apparent. But as ntemples1 mentioned, fast charging and portable charging is mainstream nowadays.

Very tempted with this phone. Have the XS Max at the moment and fancy a change but finding android phones a bit of a mine field (probably because I have been reading reddit too much) every phone seems to have something wrong with it. Would like some sane views on the phone.

Is the exynos really all that bad?
How’s the battery for you guys?

reddit is just full of hatred towards everything lol

In isolation I've found the Exynos fine in day to day use from a speed perspective. I have a 11 Pro Max also and have been swapping between the two every week or so.

Battery is also a little better than feared but its just not in the same ball park as the iPhone. End up going to sleep with around 5% left on the Ultra (if I'm lucky) and usually have to give it a very quick top up in the car or at home in the evening. The iPhone by comparison in a similar day's usage, still has 40%-50% battery left.

If you can deal with the battery situation, the rest of the phone is very good - the camera beats out the iPhone for me in quality and its flexibility with the fantastic zoom :)

Mine was around the same by FedEx also and coming Tuesday. Hope everything works fine.

Still no dispatch notice for mine ( or my sodding Mi 10 ultra ), any update on yours Lakitu?

Shipped today, due Friday.

This could either go a few ways.

  • Delivered Friday - no customs charge
  • Delivered Friday - customs charger via post in mail ( +£200 ish , should still be cheaper than UK retail)
  • Customs charge notice - pay ,delivered Monday
  • Parcel gets lost...
