Soldato
Went out for a meal tonight and there were 12 of us. Three of us have SGS2's, and one of the girls has a white one so I took some photos. I still prefer the black, but the white looks cool.
What case is that Merlin? What material?
EDIT: NM I think I found it

Ah. You and mrk do make a good point though about cooling and heating over a vent. I'll have to see how it goes. It's just that the vent is the most convenient place for me to have it for eye contact and reach for sat nav and for .. erm.. browsing I never had a problem with my old phone that I can recall. But if the phone starts acting up, then I'll try a different mount.
Here's the links for two holders, the first link being one that is even more specific for the SGS2 as you have to use a dedicated silicon case that they supply along with the holder.

why did you return it? could've just bought one of those tomtom discs that stick to the dash.
How have you gone on with this mount??
I've just had to return a window-sucker one coz it wouldnt stay on the windshield! (glass too curved??)
I assume the points at which it touches the phone are nicely padded to ensure no scratches etc??
It's for that very reason that I don't trust suction mounts.
Yep, I'm getting on great with mine. The side clamps are sponge padded (it's a firm sponge), plus I keep my case on as well, so no chance of my phone getting scratched from contact. You can see the sponge in this picture

Very secure and right at my fingertips. I'd recommend it. I've put it in landscape position now since that photo. It's good for having the 360 rotation and then you can lock it in that position.
What case is it?
