****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II ACCESSORIES Thread***

Don't take this personally, but I'm curious as to why you're so obsessed with all these cases and addons, aren't you over the novelty of the phone yet? Do you really use the phone so much that you even need an extended battery which will presumably increase the nice slim profile? :)

No offence taken and normally I don't feel anyone needs to explain such a thing to another person because why is pretty obvious usually! But I will in this instance.

The phone is still slimmer than most other competing phones with the extended battery. My interest in accessories is for 3 reasons:

1) I like playing with stuff, I like seeing how things go together and posting my thoughts on them online.

2) Carrying on from the above, I feel comparisons and feedback on various accessories will (and do) help people on deciding what accessories to buy for their phones because not everybody wants to have to buy lots of different things and then keep the one they like and have to sell the other stuff at reduced cost due to be it being used.

3) I can get many things for free so the only investment on my part is time. Spending time reviewing them via posting my thoughts with pictures. Stuff I can't get for free I will buy then give away to someone later on for free.

Over all the most important thing is that I can help a few people out at the very least and answer questions and requests for anyone else. some people might think such an obsession is weird but I've never been one to let what some people think stop me from doing something I enjoy.

As for the extended battery, I do make use of the better charge capacity. The last few weddings I have shot have been in low signal areas and often I will find that due to low signal the phone has to work harder to keep signal strength so the battery does drain a bit quicker. I need usage of my phone for both voice an data during such events so making sure there's enough juice to last the entire day from morning to evening is quite important.

The extended battery removes any worry of potentially running out of juice and having to run to the car to charge it. It also means I can go a whole weekend without having to charge the phone. convenience is the point being made here if that wasn't obvious :p

And that is why the novelty of playing with accessories and gadgets never wears off, for me anyway.

For anyone wishing to purchase the extended battery, I've emailed Mobilefun and they are due in on the 27th Oct. Ordered mine on the 1st October...:mad::mad:

Is this for the black or white version? I need a white back cover and they are also not in stock yet.

I did just notice this though:

Andida Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S2 - 2000mAh

•Extends the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy S2 beyond the original battery
•High quality lithium-ion cells provide 2000mAh of power
•Same size as original battery for guaranteed fit and compatibility

Anyone tried it? It's only £12.95

For anyone interested, I took some pics of my holder in the car today.

Forgot to do pics in landscape mode. There's a knob on the back which loosens off and then tightens so you can rotate to landscape mode.
I've tested with some emergency brake stops :p, and the phone feels very solid in the holder, not shaking itself out. Also, you can adjust the vertical and horizontal axis so you can get the phone facing exactly where you want to the millimetre.

Got my blue case now  Evening drawing in so pics are grainy.

I need a decent case for my SG2. If it's possible it would need to be shock resistant and not too big and also is there something I can put on my screen to protect it? or at least protect it while it's in my pocket. I can honestly never put those thin plastic coverings over the screen without getting the air bubbles :(.

The blue one the same as the black one? Blue does look nicer though for some strange reason!

Yeah, same. But when it came this morning, I was disappoint. The colour is not as vivid as on the ebay photo. You can see it post #905 on the previous page. I was going to then give it to my nephew who has the same phone, but I decided I quite like it now, lol. It's a bit transparent, hence the logo on the back.

Got my samsung s2 with Three network. I have tethered the phone to my computer and get awsome speeds.

played mw2 with really good pings also.

Anything stopping you from not bothering with home broadband? :p

Because that's certainly better than my broadband!

Got my class 10 32gb card inside the phone now and copied everything across. Ive also ordered a black case (same as blue one a few posts up). Just need the extended battery now. Happy days!! :)

Also received a case from amazon. It only cost £2.50 and I can see why. It was binned straight away :D
