**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S21 Family Thread ****

Gave up with ordering directly from Samsung, my S21 Ultra 128GB would take upto 5 weeks to be delivered!

Instead picked up from a local shop but got higher storage, 256GB. Shame I will have to send my free gifts back to Samsung as the Galaxy Bud Pros are so much better compared to my original Buds.

The ultra is abit taller than my S10+, I thought it would be bigger. Still good enough size to hold in one hand.

Although I already have a Spigen Tough Armor on my S21 Ultra I'm looking for a pouch or something similar also to put it in to avoid scratches when in my pocket. I've used a pouch thing that was for a car stereo detachable front panel on the last few phones but with the Ultra it is a very tight fit. Anyone got any ideas what may fit?
I don't want to remove the Spigen case, nor do I want a folding case, just something that I can slide it into for extra safety.

I picked up a Shocksock for the S20 Ultra from the rainforest. It fits fine with an Otterbox Strada case although it's showing out of stock now.

I just used the supplied sticky label as it is tracked 48 hour service. You get a certificate of posting when you hand it over and the Post Office scan the label. The online tracking shows it's progress.

If it goes missing with royal mail it's only covered up to £100
I'm sending an iPhone 11 Pro so think I'll pay to be secure as knowing my luck it'll disappear

Hi all, I can get the following package from EE as part of Friends and Family discount.

512GB S21 Ultra - 100 GB Data and Unlimited Mins/Txts £60.90 per month (24 months) + £30 upfront = £1491.60

This seems like pretty good value as they have raised the discount from 20% to 30%. I haven't had a contract phone for years, but this seems like a pretty good deal as my current 100GB contract is £15 per month, but will increase shortly. What do people think? Better deals elsewhere?

Looks like a good deal to me. I'm paying not far off that for 50gb data pm and the 256gb version of the phone (SIMO contract and SIM free mobile)

Finally took the plunge and ordered the Ultra 512GB. Had to be the Titanium though it looks so premium, even though will have to wait a few weeks. Want something different to the usual black. 10% discount for phone along with 30% discount on the clear standing case. Will get one of those fast speed chargers from Amazon. All sorted, will hopefully last me a few years. Now just the wait...

Can anyone recommend a decent screen protector? Was going to keep the one that comes on the phone for as long as possible but it's already peeling round the edges...

Few days in...

Battery life is ridiculously good.
The S10e would drain when idle for no reason, this just seems to go on forever. Granted I've not been hammering the phone, but its good to know that in idle/standby it just lasts!

Adaptive Eye Shield
Turned this off. I feel like in an evening it makes things a little hazy. I know the idea is that the display looks warmer but it just doesn't look or feel the same as the S10e did. Something seems a little off?

Display Uniformity
Biggest gripe I had with the Pixel range. The S21 seems to be fairly well uniform to a point where it feels like there's no issues at all? Any uniformity issues i see are purely down to the angle i have the phone - so more brightness uniformity, reflections etc.

I think the 12mp cams in the S21U are a bit crap tbh. with muddy details
I prefer the photos from my old P2XL which retains more details and less fringing
The 120mp cam is a little bit better, but also seems slower
just imo

How did you come to that conclusion? He states that portrait mode in the S21 series is his favourite over the Pixel / iphone but aside from that makes no other grand camera claims.

Was just about to say the same.

Focus and fringing is also better on the smaller s21 and plus due to dual pixel focus and smaller sensor. Just like on the Pixel.

Yeah, its not a proper screen protector, its to protect the screen while its in the box during shipment. That's why it has that small nib at the top for it to be peeled off when you are using the phone. I thought it would be a proper protector like Samsung applied on the S10 series when people said on here it came with on already applied, I was disappointed :(

Just like you, I'm looking for a screen protector too.

No it's not, there's the packing plastic sheet with the removal tab and there's an actual screen protector applied under that with no removal tab.

If you've not noticed then it's doing it's job well though I suppose :D
