**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S22 Family Thread ****

Yeah after a few informative YouTube video's on the s23 ultra I'm 100% selling my s22 ultra as soon as the phone goes on sale via o2.
There will be big battery gains with the 8+gen 2, I'm using the Gen 1 in the Fold4 and the battery has been great for such a small battery on a big screen, easy 5 SoT.

I had the S22U and the Exyno SOC is straight garbage. Samsung should have never used that SOC in such a high device.

I was planning on keeping my S20 Ultra for 4 years (I got it at launch) but I've noticed recently a drop in battery life and some screen burn at the top just before it turns 3 years old. The S23 Ultra sounds like it's going to have some big improvements so I may end up going for this afterall

Depends on the trade-in for me I got £650+ for my Note20U off the S22U

I got a little more than that so it will be interesting to see what they offer. It would be nice to get a different gift also, i can't get on with the in-ear buds, im still using the buds live that dont actually go right into your ear.

I've got 3 pairs of "free" buds now how many can one person use , thinking back it might have gotten more than that for my Note not long to wait now

Anyone else done lots of optimisation or followed guide for the s22 ultra? I don't know what's happened used to have really good battery life now it's mediocre and the phone is so slow, can't even swap between apps without them restarting when I go back to it

It's because the S23 is due out soon and Samsung have slowed down your phone!

Seriously I would check to see if there are any rogue apps hogging your system/background, also wipe cache and if there are still issues do a factory reset and install apps one by one and not through smart switch.

My S22 Ultra is working great now to be fair and have had no crashes or freezes for a while

Anyone else getting stung by the Tesco mobile offer over christmas for the s22+? They had reasonable offer on for £677.50 upfront (-the £200 cashback from samsung) on a 1 month rolling contract of £11.50. I didn't need the contract so cancelled it - they now want an additional £400 or the phone back (which I've had about 6 weeks now) - if choosing the phone back option they report due to being over 14 days that it'll be a partial refund of the initial fee. Very annoying as on all the paperwork it's clearly stated a 1 month contract and paying the full cost of the phone outright.

Obviously contesting but they've just rather smugly said that they have a very good legal team and the T&Cs prohibit cancelling the contract early....
