**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S23 Family Thread ****

Anyone post some screenshots of widgets/icon grids etc?

I cloned my layout from my S20 and everything looks huge like i want to reduce the scale?

Is there any way to make the email widget letters smaller? I m coming from note 9 and they are huge.
After you change the screen resolution in display settings, you sometimes need to reboot the phone to get everything to the correct size, icons and text included.

Anyone went with plus and wished they went with ultra or the reverse?

Struggling to decide between the plus and ultra coming from a smaller phone xperia 5ii

Screen zoom and font size are the two things to change to get more compacted view like you would normally expect vs the Tomy Playdoh sized icons and stuff out of the box. My screen zoom is set to the lowest, and font size is 2nd to lowest.

Here's what mine looks like

Also I've been using FreeFileSync for ages and have it set up to ynchronise all changes from phone to PC, this way each backup run just updates the changes accordingly:

And to restore this backup it's a case of clicking the "switch positions" button up top and clicking go. Timestamps etc retained.

You've given me an idea and something is probably already out there to allow me to make backups from phone to my NAS running unRAID.

Anyone having a problem unplugging their new phone from a PC? There is no "eject phone" button in top right of Windows 10 and when you pull the cord out it comes up with 100x messages about how you unexpectedly removed hardware.

The official Samsung S23+ screen protectors are out of stock on the Samsung site. If anyone's needing them I'm selling my unopened pack over in the For Sale Gadgets, Tech, Vouchers and Electronics forum. I've decided to go with a Spigen glass screen protector instead.

Thanks i'll try tweaking the zoom options and font.... Is that the always on display you're showing there with the phone locked?

Have you first changed the screen dpi under screen settings?

No not yet

Installed Nova Launcher and have a 5x5 Grid of Icons on my first home-screen , Debating changing it to a 5x6 Grid though.

Anymore want to show off their layouts/setups? I'll try to post mine later/tomorrow.

I dont like to have any icons on the home page, just a 3D cloud animated wallpaper that looks cool.
I use the side panels for my most used apps, and my apps screen has all the apps sorted into folders.
The display is set to max resolution, with a custom font, custom icon set and screen zoom set to the 2nd dot from the left.

Eject is an ancient feature that no longer applies to Windows and as such is not something that you need to do for any USB storage media inc phones etc using MTP.

That's my homescree! All my apps and things are via folders or homescreen gestures or secondary swipes on those main icons.

My app drawer is a swipe up away:

This is what I installed today and works well.
Thanks for sharing this, although I had a film protector I wanted peace of mind with a glass one so just finished installing this.

Perfect install first time around and was simple enough instructions to follow, preparation is key.

Registered my fingerprints again and no issues with it at all and can't even tell there is a sp on

Yeah I really like it compared to the TPU ones I had on S21U. They would look a state after a few months and didn't feel as nice.

Do you have appy some kind of liquid then use the UV light?

Whatsapp and Snapchat still being unsavoury, anyone else stuck in a "Restoring Media" loop when it's actually restored already?

People how long do you have to return the trade in phone and do you have to return in the blue bag that came with the phone or just put the phone in any box and stick the label on top and go post office??

You can stick the label on any bag, you can even do Royal Mail collection from doorstep free of charge.

I can't remember the period to return but think it's 14 days.

Do the edjes taper thin to blend with phone or is the thickness universal up to the edge? Like do you feel a step on the side when running your finger across?

7 Days. I put mine in a flat box then in blue bag. Put a label on it as well with IMEI number.
