Traded my s22u in for £550, expecting delivery once I get back from Portugal. Constant crashing on the s22u has been the main motivation for this

Anyone on here fancy lending me one? :p :D

Being out any more than £700 at the very most and it's not worthwhile imo, main thing I just want is better battery life.

I found out recently that traded-in Samsung handsets (back to Samsung) have the usual checks such as being factory reset and being in good condition, but then also the battery gets swapped old for new and the phone re-sealed. Samsung then sells it on their web site as reconditioned. So if you'd like the same model with a fresh battery, going on Samsung's site might be the way forward. Sure it will be more expensive than buying it seller-refurbished on eBay but you'll have a good battery again.

Yeah my S22U started freezing on calls mainly to one person weirdly but then started doing it more often to other people and then rebooting, pretty annoying.
The S23U has been solid with no hiccups whatsoever.

Anybody else having problems with mobile connectivity with the S23 Ultra? My S22 Ultra had no problems and rarely lost connectivity, whereas the s23 seems to be dropping out fairly frequently.

Put the imbzbk glass screen on my new 23u yesterday.

By early afternoon it already has chips on the edge and the faintest hairline crack. Really not impressed. Unfortunately the Whitestone reviews don't look any better but I read they are thicker glass

My s23 ultra dialed 999 whilst I was driving.
I headed a weird siron sound, looked down at my phone counting down and then heard emergency services. Thankfully I was able to pull over and explain that I didn't need help.

Not sure if there's a fall sensor or perhaps some type of quick call to emergency services on the lock screen?

Mine just did the same today on holiday in menorca. No idea how it happened pulled it out my pocket just as someone said Hola. Hung up without thinking then saw its the emergency service.

On another note I left a pretty scathing review on the imbzbk protectors and the seller has responded ofdering me a replacement or 50% refund

They haven't mentioned removing the review but assume that will be the first step.

The last update has seemingly improved the 20x zoom (10x optical + 10x digital) bitrate of the video which means the picture is just nicer overall now whereas shadow areas could get blocky before. Nice to see little areas like this still getting improvements so hopefully even more to come. I am using 1080p 60fps now for all video as you can still use the lenses when recording which I prefer. Motion is just very good and it seems the juddering previously seen when Video Stabilisation was enabled is now either gone or greatly reduces as EIS+OIS combo stabilisation works very well now it seems.

Bird watching whilst I WFH today:

They hatched in the tree just next door in recent weeks and have been a loud racket ever since hah, nice to watch them play about though

Not sure if it just optimised something or happened after an update, but battery drain with hiking apps like Alltrails seem much better.

Also anyone used FilmicPro before? They've gone all expensive sub model now, are there any other alternatives for recording RAW video files on Android?
