14nm - oooyeeeeaaahhh!

edit - "14nm" in marketing speak - bah

And let's also not forget that this node shouldn't have been called 14nm in the first place by Samsung, since it uses the same 20nm feature sizes. The accurate name would be 20+FF. But marketing didn't do that because then it would seem to people that Intel will be 2 nodes ahead when it launches 10nm next year (which will indeed be the case, but now people won't know because of the FUD marketing is spreading).

There's no reason why it couldn't come with stock Android. There's no need for all of that crap; just let people install what they want themselves.

Touchwiz is the launcher, the bloatware is a separate issue. They could give you stock Android but still include loads of pre-installed crap for example.

With exception to the uninstallable apps, I prefer touchwiz to stock android. My friend has a Nexus and personally I find the stock launcher horrible.

Just one example, I love the fact on my S4 that I can swipe down with one finger for the most-used settings but pull down with 2 fingers to get all the settings. That is a Touchwiz feature.

Agreed

I guess the use of a 14mm SoC, not increasing the screen size, AMOLED's battery performance and optimisation should result in decent screen on time. Still, no removable battery is a touch annoying.

This is sounding like a great phone annoyingly. I've always been a HTC man and I've hated samsungs up to now, my wife's had them.

If they make this actually feel like a £600 device and is as good as it sounds I might have to swap. Roll on 1st March for official specs.

14mm SoC would hurt the battery life something rotten :p

I actually do want. Do want a lot.

but I need to see it, and it needs to be sporting an mSD card slot, and be extremely thin, Z3 thin or thinner.

If that's true then awesome!

I really hope the other rumour of the S6 Lollipop being severely revised to lose all the Samsung bulk and useless features like S Find on the pulldown and Quick Connect etc. The S5 running Lollipop is smooth and all but it loses a lot of the cool things that Make Lollipop enjoyable and are replaced by Samsung's usual rubbish icons, colours and bolt ons.

I want something like how Sony have on the Z3 if it is going to be OEM customised, not sodomised :p

I have not rooted the Z3 and in fact do not miss anything from having root any more. I simply cannot function without having access to my weekly banking via the Barclays apps and since my phone is the pin sentry now.

I would miss root if I still had a Samsung though. I guess Sony have done something right with the Z3 line :p
